I appreciate the fact that you're still willing to come out when it's bitterly cold out! Beyond the fact that parts break easier, it's super uncomfortable out there, so I appreciate it! I don't mind the tripod shots at all, God knows I can't drive one handed. Your selection of background music on these shots is great!

Great video Mike! Can't wait to see ya set the world record for the X-Maxx!!! Just a thought for those that might also want to lock their diffs... It probably depends on what surface you're running on. For example, dirt and sand (loose conditions) is probably best for a "locked diff" (aka spool) like Mike Vaters wants to do. This gives it equal traction to the wheels and is what the competition trucks use for desert racing. But I see many running on grass (medium traction surface) and asphalt (high traction surface) so wouldn't you want to keep your SBR 2.0 the way it is (open diff)? Then again, the Traxxas UDR comes with a locked/spool diff and some replace the spool for an open diff to prevent rollovers. So again, this all might depend on what you're running it on. I would like to hear other people's thoughts on this...

Day after X-mas, and I finally got to run mine, first tried on 6s 75c, and then on 8s 120c (was an absolute blast). But after some of the mixed surface running that I did, it feels like it would benefit from lower frequency springs for the front (I like how I got my Yeti XL to run, and it looks like it uses the same springs so I can test this out by borrowing those to see if it makes a difference, also I'm looking to make a skid plate to put under the spare tires. So far, all I've done was add in a receiver switch for the lights so I can power them on and off through the radio, reinforced the body, wire loomed all of the wires for the lights and cleaned up how they are routed around, added window netting, and made adapters to run the batteries that I already have. On dirt this might be my new favorite truck.

I really prefer this to the V1, I think it was a half hearted attempt at scale look's. I bought one made in conjunction with King Motor and 30degree's North Super Desert Truck pretty much like the V2, but the V2 takes it one step further so now I am selling my TRAXXAS UDR to help fund the purchase of one of these. Great video content love your choice of vehicles, I am still not sure I want to get the Super Rock Rey as I am more a truck guy. Have you thought of getting any 5th scale gas vehicles I have ten eight running three buggies the rest are truck's my LOSI 5ive-T has a 40cc engine my two Krakens KV5TT and VEKTA-5 have 50cc my HPI 5SC has a 38cc engine. Man i ish I had the area you have I would have built a big track big enough to have 5th scale races with friends and family. Really looking forward to the lake speed runs, keep them coming.
