I too have purchased from BlackBox. From the beginning of my ten thousand questions for them to make sure I received exactly what I wanted, they were quick to respond, worked with me, (especially through some lighting issues I had), they just made it a smooth process and were incredibly helpful and nice. I can't say enough about Jennifer and her husband and brother. Super awesome individuals and so easy to deal with. Enclosures are sturdy, reliable, and beautiful as an addition of furniture to the house. They don't look like an out of place eyesore. The construction is topnotch. My Uromastyx is loving his home for going on 7 months now. I encourage anyone looking to purchase a pvc reptile enclosure to do not think twice about doing business with BlackBox. Thank you for the this review! I saved up for a new cage for my beardie all summer and your review inspired me to buy from them. It hasn't come in yet but your comments about great customer service have held up. They called me about needing to make a few changes to the light and heat installments I chose for my cage and after emailing with a very kind representative, we decided on something that will be even better. This was a big purchase for my budget so it means a lot that they reached out, and the representative was able to give me specific suggestions that took husbandry into account!

IMO BlackBox are the best..can arrive assembled. These are legit ~ they’re caulked & perfect …had coasters on 1. Crated perfectly ~ ready to go. Only drawback freight is EXPENSIVE

Highly recommend going bioactive it’s much easier & cheaper after you first get started. Plus the snakes would love it.

They seem to look ok. I like the small attention to detail such as substrate height, routed areas for wires etc. However, I absolutely hate the twisting latches to help hold the glass/pvc closed. If it was not foe those, they would be a great option.

Those do look really nice! It's always great to have customization options to optimize it for whatever you're keeping. I also love having multiple hides and such to see how the snake decides to use the space and what their favorite spots are. I put in a little hanging basket (upside down hamster straw hut) with a few fake leaves for cover for my Childrens python and now they spend most of their days there basking

Definitely! When the animal has choices to they are under much less stress and that can definitely lead to be behavioral improvements!

Are Blackbox cages nice and flat inside? Trying to find something with recessed doors so there is nothing for my retic to push on. I'm looking to upgrade my retic, because i really hate the cheap plastic track for my sliding front window :-( There are so many brands, and it seems there is just 1 or more things I don't like about every enclosure I come across, and am having bad luck :-( Any help from anyone would be helpful. Thanks!

Would you recommend the 2x2 cubes for full grown snakes/is there enough room? Snakes that get approximately 3-4 feet?

Definitely not 4 ft - but if it’s a very slender thin bodied snake then 3 ft might be acceptable. I would always try to go larger for caging rather than smaller whenever possible. I have been moving my snakes up once they get to about 3 ft because even though they have plenty of room to curl up and move around, they can’t be fully rectilinear.

The website is so complicated. Too many options and idk what any of them mean. Why would I have a divider? Why buy a 4 foot enclosure if I can't use the whole thing? They look really high quality but I get so lost trying to find the right one

The ladder is actually a tub perch from Specialty Enclosure Designs. I don’t have anything attached really it’s all just propped up haha.

@@MrsWashko very exciting! I think you will love the cage. The shelves are a great addition. I recommend picking up some hides from BlackBox as well - either that or some heavy pet store type hides to put on the shelf. Mine always push the light plastic ones off.

I ordered an AP T10 cage the end of Nov. I am still waiting foe it almost 8 months now. my Female yearling needs a little more room the 20L tank is a bit to small for her. AP will hopefully get my cage shipped this wk. Does blackbox ship faster? apparently AP is behind on orders.

AP has been behind on orders for years. Blackbox has a lead time of 3 weeks according to their website. They’ve never been late for any of my orders or anyone I know who has ordered from them.

Ball Pythons will do great in these! Just be sure to give them lots of clutter and cover so they have the opportunity to hide and feel secure should they desire (and most will).
