Fun fact: Alucard in the original show obeys some old Vampire logic like not being able to travel over flowing water, meaning he had to bring his Coffin with him to keep him anchored to his powers while he went to deal with Winkle. Meanwhile, the boat he was on had its engines completely destroyed, so he had to just keep paddling in the water for two days and hope the ship caught itself on a good current or wave.

Then throw schroedinger into the blood so his soul gets absorbed. Because schroendinger needs to know who he is for his powers to work properly, it basically seals alucard away as his 'has a million something souls' means schroendingers power renders him nowhere. Alucards mind was fine, he just couldn't determine where/who he is with all the extra souls. That's how he was able to come back, just destroy his souls until he can determine where/who he is.

Hellsing ultimate is in the end a power fantasy that is basically 10 episodes of badass people being badass, while not taking itself too seriously. and the abridged version takes it and cranks the comedy up to 11.

I really think my favorite part of this scene is knowing the amount of effort TeamFourStar put into making us know this was music being blasted by Alucard over the ship's PA, and not just audience-only boss music. I mean, the OG translation of the line as shown in the original anime's titlecard is better "The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my own wings to make me tame" And it suits Alucard perfectly, since he is metaphorically "eating his own wings" by restricting his power and choosing to follow van Helsing's bloodline. Van Helsing tamed him by showing him the strength of humanity, and now Alucard has such utmost respect for humans that they're the only thing he'll ever allow to kill him. He could easily go ballistic whenever he wanted... but chooses not to. Because of his respect towards van Helsing and the humanity he represents. Also the bird of Hermes has a whole alchemical meaning tied into the creation of the Philosopher's Stone, with its three stages being reflected in Alucard's three shown forms, but that's besides the point.

Honestly, it seemed to tone itself down from the first few episodes a great deal and I loved it even more. That episode with the valentine brothers was funny, but dear god was it also foul. Also, listening to the queen talk was fricking hilarious, but yeah, that style of humor went way down a few notches.

By Texas law, these signs must be displayed, irregardless of the language being English or not. All equipment on a ship are backwards compatible and the wiring exceptionally robust and reinforced. Basically, if any deck speakefs were damaged, he could just exchange them for any others and it would function.... Or just use the main projected speakers in the pilot house. Those are located on the sides of the ship and wouldn't be effected by the issues on deck.
