Technically it's not 700hp at the rear wheels, no I don't think so that's at the flywheel. There's a little thing known as parasitic loss, you loose about 15 to 20% after it goes through the trans, diff and axles before it gets to the wheels. So basically it's somewhere between 525 to 550hp at the wheels.

GM/Ford 10 speed auto are kick ass transmissions... The gears are very short and it rips through them keeping the car in the powerband

They substituted alcantara back seats when the carbon fiber shell ones were supply chain limited. That's no longer the case, and you can get the actual carbon fiber backed seats now.

The CTS-V specs traditionally are purpose-built. Like older BMWs, the concept is the function of go fast, not the function of luxury. I like the new blackwings because the interior is purpose-built for go fast. What you see as a driver is sporting and for keeping your eyes on the road course...the interior errs on the side of the simplistic.

You know the base pricing is under $100,000. I doubt you would find one at any dealership for that price. Comfortably equipped they sticker for $106,000. Fully loaded, $125,000. This car has its own identity. Everyone out there knows it's a Cadillac. They just don't realize it's full potential. I don't care about Brand Loyalty. My preference was the Caddy because it's gorgeous & hi tech, full LEDs inside & out. The only thing I don't care for is operation of intermittent wipers. After each up & down wipe, the motor pulls them fully down into "rest" position as if shutting them off. That's unnecessary work for the motor & ridiculousness.

One of the Best Cars GM has Everyman especially for Cadillac. The only thing they needs to do is update the Dash and make it more Model Like the Escalade. Other Than that, it a perfect Car

the locked ECM keeps me away from new GM performance products. C8, and the blackwing cars. The pervious generation C7, 6th Gen Camaro, CTS-V made crazy power with the only limitation being your wallet. Now with the C8 stingray your only option is a $20k turbo kit. Porting is the blower for 40whp is pretty much all you can do without a tune on the CT5 blackwing.
