In todays video I am fishing Lake Osakis in west central Minnesota Area near Alexandria for Largemouth bass right after the Minnesota fishing opener. The technique I use in todays video is by far my favorite way to catch bass this time of year. You will catch big fish, and lots of them.
I used a chatterbait this day, but I will fish a spinnerbait or swim jig if the conditions are setup better for either of those. My rule of thumb if dirtier water with wind means chatterbait. Wind with clean water means spinnerbait. Calm winds and/or heavy weeds I will use the swim jig. Fishing them all the exact same with light pops of the rod with a steady retrieve targeting the thicker parts of the weeds.
