Running the Dalarna since it was released. I... just... love... it...! Halland on steroids! Running gunship build, it is just awesome.

Clanmate and i played in a Smaland / Halland division today, it was kinda ridicolous. In one match a enemy Nachimov was hellbent on killing me, so he flew into our combined and coordinated AA over and over again. In addition, the enemy team (including 2 GKs) were pushing hard. Needless to say that we absolutely murdered the reds but i will do so anyway because it was that ludicrous. Their GKs and then two more BBs got crosstorped and nuked, enemy DDs shelled and ripped apart and the foolish CV potato wasted his planes in what were essentially two Halland AA bubbles. Not even a Nachimov is getting a drop under such circumstances and it took him a while to understand the error of his way or he simply was already deplaned at that time. I recommend testing this division out (and stick together). It is indeed monstrous and broken AF. DDs get outgunned, BBs torped and a CV...well...

low range of main guns has an upside: you can actually open up on a dd, kill him and get unspotted the moment he dies, if ht is the only one in gun range.

Honestly wish they would implement a feature that would let you control your vertical firing angles, letting you sacrifice range/shell velocity for the ability to shoot over islands or letting you gain shell velocity/pen from firing in a flatter arc

First of all, happy New Year to everyone and may all your wishes come true this year. Dear PQ, after watching your list of top dd's I decided to give the Halland line a go myself. I admit, I hadn't played the line of pan European ships at all, but boy what a mistake! Playing the tier VI Västerås atm, and boy have I had some awesome games. So yeah, you got me hooked on this line. Now lets hope the tier VII isn't a downgrade like most other techlines. Keep up the good work in your streams and/or youtube vids!

Pan Euro guy here. You had fun with Vasteras????? ouch! Skane is Decent, Oland is a super Skane (same hull but all is very upgraded, the AA becomes "real"), Oster is nearly as maneuverable but is larger thus easier to hit, I (unlike Potato) don't care much for my Halland, the very poor Maneuverability drops the ball for my playstyle, Ragnar is definitely worth getting, I've only Played my Dalarna once but will play it more. (it like Halland is more of a collection ship for me). 2,350 games in Oland! Why Oland? Because it's SOOO dodgy and maneuverable and thereby it kite fights very well and I kick CVs butts with it too. "Can't touch this" is a very powerful attribute but must be learned. Kiting from BBs and cruisers from 8k out to 12.1k allows me to land shells and light fires at will but they can't do much to me because of my dodginess. Past Oland the line loses this ability and thus exits my playstyle! I wish you all the luck and BTW Get Jerzy Swirsky, BION his primary advantage is that he gets a 25% increase on adrenalin rush and without activation terms. Seems that everybody somehow thinks that he's just an AA commander ... so not true! Good luck and Cheers: Robert

1st: I'm only an above average player but I want to help you with the Pan Euro line (if I may). 2nd: My playstyle is oddball so I'm not saying that it should be your playstyle BUT it'll at least likely be a good attribute for your playbook. 3rd: I use my guns "a-lot" but be careful here, 8k and out against Capital ships which is Olands primary targets. (most/many DDs can kick Pan Euros ass) 4th: This is rude considering it's on Potato Qualities site: (sorry but I can't help but to help fellow Pan Euro players or those that are interested in the line) 5th: Click my icon to get to my KZbin site of which isn't primarily a WoW site. I only allow one WoW game on my front page at a time the rest get unlisted and placed in my "Playlists". 6th: The front page vid has an awesome AA fight but skip to the AA fight via the goto prompt in my script, (its beginning is boring, but the AA fight is phenomenal). 7th: See my "World of Warships Best Plays" "PLAYLIST", the top 2 games show how to "gunboat" at range. if only one pick the second one from the top. 8th: This open water gunboat playstyle really only best suits "Skane and Oland" (because they're maneuverable and gun Boaty enough to pull it off). 9th: Enjoy and I apologize if I've offended anyone! @@robertshaver4432 Got the Skane last night, and she's indeed an upgrade compared to Vasteras. Torps at 80 knots is insane, and dpm with the guns is better too even with 1 barrel less. AA is'nt that crap either, not a no-go zone yet but cv's think twice before entering that 6km bubble 😝

I've actually been playing the italian dd's with the stock gun range module so I can disengage any time i want and it actually works pretty well you should try it out.

Honestly with so many radars at higher tiers smoke is often a detriment and a noob trap. Often see DDs die in the first 5 min because they push too agro expecting to break contact with smoke only to find they pushed 3km into someone's radar and get deleted before they can escape/go dark

If I use the 15 km torps if I fire at 7 km I can fire right down the site line and it'll hit. If I use the 8 KM torps they always seem to miss. I now fire them in front of the shot indicator. so far though, the only use I've found for the 8 KM torps is firing into smoke

I feel like spotting damage doesn't reward people enough hence why they don't spot much (im a daring main)

Watched this live yesterday. I like the emphasis on spotting for DD players. Seems like most shy away from it

No idea why. It's the one thing that all destroyers have in common. Even the Russian ones. When a DD gets low on health (like 5%), they can't afford to reveal themselves. The only thing left to do is use your concealment to spot and possibly stealth torp.

I don't think that Dalarna gun build would be that good... Yes you get one extra turret but you also gain .8s in reload so you only end up with 15k more DPM and less fires/min. I mean you get 700m more range but... that's as unsignificant as the 15k more DPM. The difference becomes greater when you go into a full gun build of course but you could do the same thing with the Halland but would have a more agile, smaller gun platform with less detect, better ruddershift and turning radius and so on. Dalarna could've propably been the Halland - all be it a little bit op at TX but WG has no problem with that.

Mediocre DD that relies on a gimmick that was nerfed into oblivion or a super DD that is a bigger better version of one of the strongest tech tree DD lines in the game. Yeah hard decision

Skipped the Halland and went straight to Dalarna from the Oster. God damn, it’s so good. The torps are easy to lead and the guns can hold their own against most anything. Still learning how to properly play it (I keep finding myself caught out in the open since NO ONE wants to contest caps it seems), but it is a very good ship

This boat is a credit robber. I average 60k damage in it and lose at least -200k credits each game (with premium time and a 40% credit booster). I literally cant afford to play this boat, cant even play it in coop. I heard that superships didnt give credit awards, I wish someone warned me that meant losing a lot of credits just to play it.

Personal opinion, but I'm really disappointed about dalarna. All the European DD line is mainly torp focus and we have a gunboat dd as supership.

I play Ostergotland as a gun build. It's good either way; I just have a 21-point captain for Friesland/Ragnar, and enjoy the gunboat style. Halland is great with both guns and torpedoes too, but I set it up for torpedoes because I already have Ragnar as the gunboat option.
