Wow! That B&S MS27 had me doing a double take. It was so rich, warm, and dark in sound that I thought it was a contrabass at first! I can see/hear why it was one of your favorite things.

you're not allowed to sell the B&S until I can afford to buy it. that is a legal mandate

Your B&S was my favorite bass when you had me over. It rocks!

Ever sense you got that B&S bass trombone I have never been more impressed with your sound (Don't get me wrong you play great on them all). The B&S is the most consistently great sounding bass trombone I have ever heard you play. I think you ought to keep that as your "main" bass trombone. Great video as always my friend!

Kinda freaked me out... Opened up the "favorite things" video with a dependent closed-wrap rotary valve horn! I thought, OMG burgerbob finally came to his senses! Enjoyed the video :) Cheers!

I do enjoy playing that one as it is... but I'm also excited for how much better it will be with good valves!

great to see a summary video of your favourite horns! did you ever end up going to Doug Elliot for a bass mouthpiece? you've talked about it a few times, just wanted to check Also I was in talks with him via email up until December 15ish and he was always super quick to reply and then suddenly stopped... do you know if he took Christmas off?? totally okay if he's on holiday, its just not like him to not reply

That time of year is basically as busy as it gets for freelancers. He'll answer some emails soon I'm sure

Which mouthpiece do you play on the sarastro? Have you tried other mouthpieces on it? Do you also play big band with it?
@AidanRitchie6 ай бұрын
Thein BM-E. I also have a Thein BM, it has some good characteristics but I think the BM-E is overall better. Trust me, I tried everything! I have played it in big band, it can do the job but it's not the right tool.

Keep up the good work! Your videos and TC posts are most informative...would it be possible to include the music credits for the videos?
@AidanRitchie6 ай бұрын
Yes! All the music is me. :P

How much practise do you do per day if no gig or rehearsal? Do you like good old Bach 42 open wrap with 4G mouthpiece ?
@AidanRitchie6 ай бұрын
If it's possible, 3-4 hours Depends, but that can be a great setup!

A tenor that makes you want to play tenor?😮 As a bass trombonist, I am disappointed. (As a trombonist, I am very happy for you Aidan!)

On a 42, I might be inclined to agree. This is the best one I've played!
