My favorite time of year

Growing up, Spring represented the promise of warm weather and summer activities just ahead. More so, another winter and the shoveling of snow, school, short days was also worth celebrating.
Funny how life changes over the years. Now Fall is by far my favorite time of year, hands down. No school to worry about and yes, there is still some shoveling, but it's when I want to get to it vs getting up long before school to do so.
But now Fall represents the harvest of so many things in life for me and all that is important. There is electricity in the air. A cool snap followed by a warm blanket of sun that shines through the trees lower in the sky now. Animals are abundant and active. The colors are changing daily all around. Dancing flames , snapping in the fire place while we relax with a glass of something yummy takes on a whole new meaning.
Also friends and family slow down enough to reach out and say hello and sometimes even visit. My favorite holidays are just ahead and people just seem to be more open to longer, deeper conversations rather that surface level obligatory dialogs about weather and trivialities, that just bore the Hell out of me, but checking in forces us all into these obligatory chats.
So this is just a little sonnet to my favorite month, September and even though I did not go crazy with the photography this year due to all the project I need to get done, it was still easy enough to find enough raw video and images to put together a short thanks to the things that always make it so special..

I love Fall. It is very relaxing and I love the changing of the leaves. There is a crispness in the air and often fog!
