wood shelter build

I always told my wife, when we decide on our forever place (which we found), the three things I needed the most were clean water, timber and rocks on a good plot of property that offered both privacy and community at the same time.
Building what we need here just takes a few trips in the woods..We have plenty of standing dead trees that need to be managed to reduce fire risk, and every branch gets used. This place offers me the ability to not waste anything and allow the complete circles in each aspect of life which always fills my heart.
Maybe growing up with out much in the material realm helped shape this deal, but it suits me and I'm glad whatever steps that have been taken to use everything to it full potential. Even our vegetable scraps go in the yard to feed who ever needs it. So far, not bears..:)

i watched this man in Siberia cut really straight planks with his chainsaw using a sweeping motion..it intrigued me..So i am trying..thanks a bunch and i look forward to seeing your place progress over time.it looks amazing already
