Hi first time seeing your channel and i did enjoy it (but I am prefer Susan Bates but i won't hold that against you LOL😜 j/k) I also Crochet and also knit and i first started with magic loop method for the smaller circumference knitting and it was not enjoyable for me ither but i did want to recommend to you that you look into decreasing using 2 circular knitting needles .... Its a tiny bit similar to your flex knitting where 1/2 of your stiches are on 1/2 of the circle and the other half is on the other needle .... and since you have the interchangeable set you can do it in any sizes you already have! 👍

Since recording this I have learned that method and I do use it from time to time! STILL better than magic loop or dpns for sure!!

It's so funny how there are so many tool options. I'm a Susan Bates gal myself. I don't know why but the other kind slow me down

You've just gotta find what works for you. Some people LOVE wood hooks and needles...or magic loop. I however hate all of the above!

I know this video is a year old, but I just wanted to make the point that the KnitPicks ball winder isn't an inferior product, it's appropriate for its price. I'm a knitter, crocheter, spinner, and weaver and I've had one for years (10+, I think) but I only use it for travel/classes for spinning. It is compact and has a handle which is perfect for getting yarn off your wheel quickly. I do have a sturdy wooden winder for winding lots of full skeins. So if you only need one for that purpose, yes do invest in a more expensive winder, but the Knitpicks winder has its place and purpose.

It definitely is very lightweight, more portable & has a purpose within its price point!
