Legit the last game where the jab looked and felt good IMO. Loved Aldos. It would actually disrupt (before they added the lunging jab in the final title update) and shut things down. Still the best looking one, too. Something about the glossier/shinier character models is just more appealing to me.

Nothing was more fun than facing a fellow grappler with my skill set trading suplexes and throws for 15 minutes I literally used high angle cage slam as a wwe style "finisher," to end fights online good times 😁 I'm one of the few who actually misses ultimate team from two I actually loved that mode wish they made it offline Vs ghosts

this game was def the best ea mma game, better than 4 or 5, and the best looking one in some ways, and you could easily see the fighters facial expressions changing during fights and stuff....but with that said, we also look back at this game with rose tinted glasses and glaze it more than it should be since 4 and 5 were so bad....but the fact of the matter is, it had alot of bs also and doesnt hold a candle to the THQ UFC games, only just having being newer with better visuals and technology over them. But imagine the THQ games made in modern times with these games engine and stuff. THQ UFC 2 was 5x better than any EA game no debate. This game, ufc 3, is where you really started seeing the turn towards appealing to casuals, taking away nuances in grappling and clinching, and just generaly taking steps backwards in lots of ways. I remember at the time, all of us ufc vets and fans constantly bitched about this game.
