Merry Christmas everyone! 2024 was certainly dominated by the Emblems and their Rings. If you never played Engage, their abilities are just as gamebreaking for a main game with the usual FE combat. With Lyn introducing "Styles" things are going to get even crazier. Let's see how styles change things up within the next year.

i also really enjoy bridal lapis! as a big fan of lapis' character in engage as well as movement and extra action shenanigans in feh, she ticks all my boxes. i also ended up liking panette, as a great f2p arena option that i enjoy using and also don't hate when other people use (cough, cough). ilyana was probably my favorite refine of the year, even if it wasn't outstanding. happy holidays, enjoy the late engagement boost

My share as a f2p player: Duo Child Robin was my most used support unit for the year; just the amount of offensive utility she provided (atk/spd bonuses, canto 1, null followup status) was too valuable for most of my teams this year. I used a remixed L!Eliwood and L!Ninian pair frequently for my staple hardcarry teams. Having a Bonus Doubler buffer and three-movement dancer in the back line while a Fallen Female Byleth wrecked everything was a sight to behold. Citrinne is an exceptional nuking mage and support that has aged quite healthily with all the new statuses (and Eik) being introduced this year . She very often hit 90+ damage Icebergs without getting touched, and I paired her with Alear to grant Charge to the whole team and bombard everyone Aside from all the instant damage meta shenanigans this year, Hraesvelgr is the definitive _Bird_ to the entire weapon triangle. I find myself using her more as an Exposure + Rein Snap support just to help others keep up. I snagged myself a free summon +spd NY!Nerthuz on the Double Specials banner and she SHREDS. The amount of damage she just absorbs and spits back out via Aether counteract is stupid, and the gravity lockdown comes in clutch a lot of the time. I just recently last-second summoned a Summer Nerthuz on the previous double special banner and watched her eat a 70+ damage Armored Blaze by Pjazi and spit out a 126 Dragon Fang, so I’m excited to have a second goat

My christmas gift this year was the Yukata Mia +10!! I have her decked out with NQ, Excel , Pegasus Rift, Endless Tempest, DC-M and she is absolutely a monster. Breaks through all physical walls with ease. Easily my favourite alt of the last year

As a Sacred Stones fan myself I’m hoping Emblem Eirika will have the wind sword and a great emblem effect. My Neimi is +10 and built up with like everything I could get my hands on so I didn’t need to worry about making her a forma which was good cause this hall of forms has been absolutely cruel to me.😢😭 Bridal Lapis has gorgeous art and is an interesting unit though I can’t seem to get her share spoils to work properly. Great collection to see looking forward to the next year of content. Happy new year everyone.🎉👍🏼

My favorite unit from this year is definitely Bridal Lapis. Even if technically +10ing her is probably the wrong idea, I went ahead and did it anyways! (She’s actually only +9 but shhh…) Her shared spoils effect is just so fun to use right, and even if she does defeat a unit, just that warping effect she also has saved my butt many times before. Tack her on with the Celica ring and she becomes even more disgusting… So many battles were won thanks to her abilities… I am so happy to see her get an alt, and it makes me dread if ever the shared spoils effect will come to another unit that isn’t her. Either way, cheers to this year and here’s to probably another year of playing this maddening game.

For 2024, the units for me were Respledent Ayra getting her to plus 10 and getting top tier skills on her, Nergal finally getting added into Heroes and i like how the "Drain Essence" buff effect is a reference to him stealing Quintessence in Blazing Blade, Emblem Sigurd definitely became my favorite AOE Nuke unit to use but also hate facing against him in PVP matches lol, happy they gave Alfonse the justice he deserved for a CYL8 winner by making him surprisingly tanky as a calvary unit

I grabbed B!Micaiah's gorgeous new Resplendent art and kitted her out to have some functional difference over her powercrept version, I gave her Spd/Res discord and gave her a spd boon to hopefully taking advantage of a 31spd Stat Swing (if everything lines up well). I've been using her so religiously since B!Hector was a menace, and I was so sad At!Mic was just a better copy of her, down to being a green flier. However, old gen stat distributions CAN allow for niches in a land of min-maxing.

My favorite units for this year go to: 1. B! Alphonse, I just love everything that the devs did with him. Could not +10 in current year, but he is amazing for all PvE content and even PvP depending on what matches I get. 2. Bride Shareena, multiple actions is just that good. I used her a lot along with Alphonse to clear the monthly Legendary, etc. maps. 3. Summer Gullveig, same as above, multiple action are just too good. Gave her celica ring and she has been in Tempest Trial clearing labor ever since. She joins Alphonse and Shareena for the monthly maps too. 4. Sping Mirabillis. My second favorite fairy, gave her Peony's kit and she is just an incredible dancer. 5. Bride Lapis, the video pretty much sum why I like to user her so much. +10 Projects of this year: 1. Lapis, finally got my last copy yesterday. Thanks to our Demon Lord for the free tics. 2. Marnie, still waiting for that shield fighter fodder. 3. Murdock. He is such a cool dude. Grabbed his forma with updated skills, sadly no shield fighter in the pool at the time. The gacha gods were generous this year as I managed to grab at least a copy of most of my wanted characters. Sadly, missed out on Emblem Sigurd and Emblem Marth.

I did try to get more alfonse in the lyn banner, since i only returned after cyl banner ended. I got 5 lyns so far, and 2 alfonse 😑 Also wanted legendary veronica, but i got 1 copy so far, 5 copies of ike and 6 copies of felix. Im losing it 🤯
