As someone who’s had a PCM80 repaired (and recapped), and a SDD-2000 repaired (thankfully it was just a power supply), I sympathize with anyone who has to get service on these great old pieces. The quality of the stereo imaging and/or modulation is just off the chain. Glad yours was able to be restored.

Sounds so good. It's boneheaded how TC puts their best rack algorithms - this, DVT250, TC2290 and VSS4 - in the dongle plugins, but they put such underwhelming vanilla stuff in their guitar pedals. They should do what UAD did with their new pedals and bring some of the classic stuff back so it works live in amp fx loop and between a keyboard and cab.

My first real recording experience in 1987 made me aware of the 1210. I couldn't afford it and I didn't use rack gear, but I always wanted that sound. Today I get something similar in my Helix (Tri Chorus) but it is not the same 😉

Michael…a suggestion here: when you flash pix on the screen of vintage racks and rigs and gear, leave the picture to sit for 5-10 seconds. You showed Huffs racks and that other guys racks but the pix flashed up for about 1 second. I know we can take a screenshot of them, but with the way you flash them, we gotta be quick and ready to click to snap the picture in an instant. Love your videos bro.

@psycofdo Жыл бұрын
I actually use the 1210 plugin version for stereo widening a whole mix... it adds something special, sometimes even too much, so you have to dial it down a bit and watch out for phase in that application

Bro, you were only using 1 engine in the video. I was looking for the pulsing indicator light that pulses to the speed of each side. Only 1 indicator was pulsing, so you were only using 1 side. Run both sides of that 1210, and it will come alive.
