I've only stayed at Riverside so have nothing to compare it to, but we loved our stay there.

Jen Lefforge I've Never stayed at Any of these Resorts. Never been to Beach Club, Cabins or Old Key West. Been to Contemporary for Dinner. Love the Atmosphere. We r looking in to staying at Port Orleans FQ in 2019. I've seen Videos and Pics of it. Reminds me so much of HOME!!

My home resort is Animal Kingdom! We always stay at Kidani because its a smaller resort and less people at the pool. I love drinking my coffee in the morning and watching the animals!

The Polynesian Club level is great for a summer trip because you can keep going in to the Hawaii building to get unlimited drinks and take them to the pool. But I have to say that my absolute fav is the Beach Club Resort.

I love that you got married at the Boardwalk! I've happened upon a couple weddings there and it's just so gorgeous. I'm trying to convince Scott to do a vow renewal at Disney for our 30th anniversary (about 18 months from now) but so far he's not biting. Because I showed him the cost (whoops). Hi, Jen! Loving your videos! And your favorite resorts! Some happy surprises in there! Thank you so much for the Fort Wilderness love! That is my family's All Time Favorite. It helps that we take our ginormous RV, drag all our stuff, rent a golf cart, traipse around with both dogs, grill out at least twice whilst we camp, and are nightly sung to sleep by the Water Parade music. We camp at Fort Wilderness every February and it is always our favorite trip. (Even this past February when all four of us got the flu, over the 10 days we were at WDW. We did the Urgent Care visit too! Was so pleasantly surprised how easy Disney made medical care. And the Walgreens pharmacy right of Int'l Blvd? Those people are my heros!) Port Orleans is my husband's favorite resort and my kids STILL adore the sea serpent waterslide at the P.O. pool, even at 15 and 18. Boardwalk is my favorite Resort for our non-camping visits. I love the decor, the seaside feel, the pedal cars, and all that striped wallpaper! Thanks again for this video! I told the kids I was making a favorite resorts list and they starting listing out what they love at each place. Fun conversation! There can never be too much Disney chat at my house. Seriously, Jen...you SOUND like a travel agent. Asking all of the questions to your friends who NEED that DISNEY friends' help! LOVE it! I could spend an entire vacation at the Beach Club too and not LEAVE too. It feels like vacation. (The Beach Club NEEDS hammocks, though!) Yacht and Beach Club's are my favorite, too. Our favourite is the Grand Floridan, which is our DVC home. We feel so fortunate to have purchased just before they opened, from what I hear it is difficult to buy there now. We also love Animal Kingdom. 💗😁

My top 5 KIDANI, POLY, BLT, BOULDER RIDGE, BOARDWALK - My order changes each stay. Poly is our first stay as a family and now our 2nd DVC home. I love waking up to the animals at Kidant. BLT love the food and walking to MK and the view, Boulder ridge love the views and the boat to MK . Boardwalk walk to Epcot, food and walk to DHS.

Yay!!! This is going to be an awesome series! I was lucky enough to stay in the treehouse villas at Saratoga. The transportation was a mess, but it was well worth the unique experience. It was so cool!

Beach Club cash side is awesome. I’m not high on the dvc at BC, but the cash rooms are fantastic. FQ is my favorite moderate but I’ve not yet been to new tower. My top is between BW and WL. Great list

The Cabins are my favourite!! So many people forget about them!! I love having my own parking spot and not having to go hiking through the parking lot late at night to get back to my hotel room after a long day at the parks! And the parking is still free at your cabin unlike most other resorts now.

When the boys have families of their own I have a dream that Scott and I rent a bunch of cabins next to each other for everybody to vacation together. It's just so gorgeous there and I think may people think it's too "rustic" but I think they've just never been! Thanks for watching!

Definitely have to agree about Beach Club as I would take any of those 3 in that Boardwalk area, it's beautiful! But can't leave out Wilderness Lodge. Haven't actually stayed there myself but Cathy has and that would probably be my first pick that I want to stay at! Great video as always! ~Dawn

I really like Wilderness Lodge but it didn't make the list because I find the standard rooms to be really small for a deluxe. And since we're a large family (people and size - the men are all over 6 foot!) that's important to us. But you cannot beat the resort atmosphere there, truly. Just spectacular.

Great list! Beach Club was beautiful, but we didn't like how we had to walk through a labyrinth of hallways to find our room. You know me, I have to throw in my love for Animal Kingdom Lodge for families with little ones. Transportation hasn't been bad for us there which I know is what deters most people.

We love our DVC home at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Jambo House has a fabulous atrium lobby with all of the beautiful colors of Africa. Boma is a favorite restaurant, buffet style with flavors of Africa, but not too different that the kids wouldn’t enjoy. Kidani Village, the DVC Villas, is rich in the artifacts of Africa. Best of all is the animals of the Savannah, which is right outside. We have had a Standard room and still had a good view of the animals from our balcony. My small grandchildren just loved that experience. We never get tired of this resort. We go to all of the DVC Resorts, but love going back home to AKL.

Love French quarter. While Polynesian is my fave, French quarter is so much more reasonable in price. Love the boat to the springs and the walk to Riverside for yeehaw Bob!!! It's so quiet and nice. "Quaint" is the perfect description!

Out of the resorts we have stayed in: Value: Pop Century Moderate: Caribbean Beach (Not sure if I will feel that way after the refurb is done) DVC: Beach Club and Bay Lake Tower (We have friends who are DVC and the opportunity to stay in the Beach Club Villas and BLT) Both were fabulous. BLT was phenomenal, we had a theme park view...you just can't beat that view! Honorable mention: The Poly...we have never stayed here but we would love to. We tend to spend a lot of time there on our trips, we love the atmosphere and the food there.

My 12 year old also got the flu last year at Disney. Also got to spend a day at CentraCare. Poor kid. She pushed through as best as she could, but it was rough for a couple days. Thank God for those handheld fans that spray water on you. Best $20 we spent lol.

Our favorite is far and away the Boardwalk - though in fairness we've only ever stayed in that area. Once at the Dolphin, once at Boardwalk, and once at the Yacht Club. We are renting DVC to stay at the Boardwalk again this September (before they announce SW:GE was opening) but I'm worried about the lack of storage! It looks like the only have the three drawer dresser which my daughter will claim as her own. I'm sure it will work out though

I love the Contemporary as well. Our home resort w/ DVC is Bay Lake, so I always have wonderful memories of staying there w/ my twins (they're 11 now). I also want to try out the cabins at Ft. I love when my friends ask for Disney vacation suggestions but picking a favorite place in Disney World is like trying to pick a favorite child! I LOVE the Grand Californian so I assume we would love Wilderness Lodge but we haven’t made it there yet. Port Orleans Riverside was a nice relaxing location to stay at and I am always so happy when we stay at the Grand Floridian but my daughter isn’t the biggest fan and always fights for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Although my list varies. I am in love with old key west. I agree it’s so spacious. You get so much more for your money. It’s before they realized they could make DVc rooms smaller in the future. I used to work at Olivia’s cafe years ago. Im 100% in agreement with beach club too. We didn’t care for yacht club after staying there. We found it a bit too stuffy. I’d say my #1 is Polynesian. This is such a great video idea. I might do it, if that’s okay with you!

We usually rent points from a family member. Her home resort is Boardwalk so that’s where we’ve always stayed. Our November trip, however, is at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani and I’m super excited. I think that resort is just beautifully themed. I know it’s far away from every single thing but we’re trying to do a more chill trip this time anyway. Love the location of Boardwalk, though. Walking to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is fantastic!

I knew this would happen - everyone else is naming other resorts and I'm like WAIT, maybe THAT one should have made the list! You will ADORE Kidani, Dawn. If you get the chance, Sanaa is amazing and pro tip - you can order the bread service (my favorite part of eating there) at the bar with nor reservation. A glass of white wine and bread service is the perfect way to cap off a Disney day. Sigh.

Jen I think if you ever stay at BLT you'll have a very different experience but you can't go wrong with your home of choice;)!! And yes, OKW is not only awesome it's a BARGAIN on points so you get a lot of space for a good value. I think you would like it there.

Just need to add a comment about Old Key West. I love this resort, especially the massive rooms. But, people need to know that these are two and three story buildings with NO elevators. So, if you have someone who has trouble walking or climbing stairs, you need to specify a ground floor room. I learned this the hard way since my wife was unable to walk on her own (she now relies on a wheelchair.) The people at OKW were very nice and willing to move us to ground floor room, but only the next day since they had none available on the day we checked in. I've later learned that there may be a newer building at OKW which has elevators, but can't confirm that.

Another comment about OKW. That was the original DVC resort and those rooms were the style used at DVC before they went to the current room layout. But, OKW is the only resort at WDW with that room style. We also own Vero Beach and it has the same massive rooms like OKW. I'd have to check but I think Hilton Head also has that style. We've owned at Vero Beach for years and only stayed there once, for one night. We use our Vero points to trade for Disney Cruise Line.

My favorite quick service in Epcot is Sunshine Seasons of the Land - something for everybody and the fish tacos are SO GOOD! And I HAVE been to Ale and Compass for breakfast and it was wonderful! I haven't had dinner there since it changed to the new name, but when it was Captain's Grill we had many good meals there so I think it's a great choice!

I love Disney, but it is way out of my price range now that I am in my 60's. The first time I stayed in the park, I booked a room at the newly opened Carribean Beach (love the colorful buildings). My son was 5 then and he is 34 now. The second time I stayed in the park was when my husband and I took our 18-month-old daughter. We stayed at the All-Star Sports. I enjoyed staying at the resort since we had a ground floor room. The room was fine for a family 3-4 but I would hate to try to fit any more people inside, also All-Star was pretty much a normal hotel room with just a touch of Disney.

Love the Yacht Club! Have only been to Disneyworld 3 visits staying 2 times at Caribbean Beach (before construction) and the Yacht Club in September. Our September 2017 trip was rough. Very busy, very hot and left early due to Irma. Our pixie dust was everything about the Yacht Club. We had an amazing room with views of the gazebo and Hollywood Studios fireworks nightly from our patio. The smell, the cast members were just Magical! We are trying the Polynesian for 9 nights and one night at the Grand Floridian in December hoping for a better visit. Have you been to MVMCP? Thank you for all your wonderful tips. This came at such a great time. My husband and i are trying to pick our home resort for DVC. I know your home resort is vero beach... do you find it hard to book the parks during peak times?

Short answer is yes, I do. During less busy times it's honestly not a big deal, but during busy weeks it can be very difficult and we frequently have to do split stays to get all our nights. I don't mind that really as it gives me the opportunity to try new resorts, but I definitely have to be on the phone first thing at the 7 month mark. Hope that helps!

We just booked a trip for our family of 4 for Port Orleans Riverside this fall. Was torn between Riverside or French Quarter. Is it worth the change or are they very similar?

So you can't go wrong with either one but French Quarter is much smaller (like maybe half the size?) so it's a lot easier to get around. But Riverside isn't massive so we're talking a 10 minute walk instead of a 5 minute walk. The theming is different but they are next door so even if you're at Riverside you can walk over to French Quarter for atmosphere and beignets! Both resorts have queen beds and similar layout - I would check online for room tours and see which decor you like better but you really can't go wrong either way.
