Thank you so much for your videos. I enjoy all of them even if I don’t like all of the same artists that you like however we are all different. I love that you introduce me to a lot of art that I haven’t seen. Art (mostly fine art) is one of the main activities that makes life worth living (for me). Thank-you! Please keep up the wonderful work that you are doing.

I quite like the work by Gommar Gilliams- color, texture, surface, composition. It's all there. He's had some good solo shows at David DeBuck who used to have a space on 23St but I think now only has an online presence. Yes like the Teoldi pieces as well. I'm seeing a lot of fabric based art in NY these days either with or without a paint application. For me, a lot of these galleries are hit or miss- might see a good show one month at say Europa, Magenta Plains, or Ruttkowski and then the next one not so engaging. The real fun is finding an unknown such as I did last week upon checking out a show by the late Adrian Berg at Hunter Dunbar on 24 St. What's the difference between him and "most" contemporary artists? His extensive predatory notes, drawings and color studies which allows him to effortlessly bang out large paintings with a very spontaneous approach. Definitely worth checking out if you get the chance.

It’s interesting the difference between art in the Salon and Art Basel. I noticed that Art Basel overall had more tendency towards modern simplification and the Salon seemed to lean more towards neo-expressionism. I was wondering was this pure coincidence? Is there a specific look that Art Basel requires of the galleries who are representing?

"If I were a rich man I wouldn't be sprinkling any of my gold sovereigns around..." No, I wasn't impressed by this fair and tho the fair in the previous video was much stronger, nothing really caught my eye there. Fairs like this should be places of wonder where you can but dream but it's a rum do when you see nothing at all. Great video tho, nonetheless!
