As an owner of 3 Pagani watches, I too would love to see them come out with a 'Premium' class of watch as you suggested. I'd gladly pay more for Glide Lock clasps (once you try one you never wanna go back!), better lume, AR coating, better overall QC, and more detailed attention to detail in their designs.

I recieved my green hulk pd1639 today July 20 2020. I am happy to convey that the lume has gotten better. Surprising. Even the bezel is perfectly centered and the cyclops is perfectly straight with no drooping as I have seen in some videos. I am very pleasantly satisfied and impressed with what you get for the price. Yes, the bezel still has a bit of back play, but I'm fine with that. Last week I also got the pd1639 in black and gold. The lume is obviously worse on that watch, but something I can live with. Still something I think Pagani is addressing as we speak as mentioned above. The accuracy is less than +2 secs per day and has just varied between -1 and +2 secs/day this week maybe because if my different activities day to day. I am really pleased.

Absolutely agree on the 'premium range' for a few more bucks idea, Jody. I am NOT a fan of the cyclops thingy over the date window AT ALL. Just take the bloody thing off (easy peasey to do, just carefully apply a little heat (plenty of vids on youtube which show you how to safely do this)and voila! A bit of a clean up of any remaining cement on the dial and you have a way better visual experience.

I paid just over eighty quid (UK) for their Hulk Copage, and I can honestly say it is superb. No QC issues what so ever, maybe I just got lucky ?? But for that sort of out lay, I am well happy with it. Bought that after seeing your review. Since subscribing to your channel, you've cost me quite a lot of money LOL.

Great video - I bought one of these 1645's recently ( the navy blue dial ) and as you say is super-comfortable to wear and looks quite elegant on the wrist. Very different to the 'Hulk' Submariner which I've also got. The proof will be in the longevity of these watches but they look like they are incredible value for money.

Here are the specs, 40mm titanium case, skeleton dial, saphire crystal, open caseback, has some lume, a high beat automatic movement with 80 hours power reserve and all of this for the price of 150 usd. San Martin doesn't even come close to Pagani in terms of variety and is quite a bit more expensive (200+ dollars). Pagani just has every Rolex copied and San Martin only has submariner and explorer or datejust? They also have daytona but the dial is way off from the real daytona.

Totally with you on the 'pagani premium' aspect. My Pagani daytona is beautiful, but screw links came undone and the ceramic bezel needed to be glued back on after it fell off, still it only cost £46 so can't complain about having to tighten up a couple of screws and a dab of araldite

A plus: a standard 6 notches caseback, that you can open without fancy tools. I cannot stand those ripoffs - er, homages that use a Rolex style caseback: I don't think you need an official authorized retailer to regulate or service a Pagani "Design", and I suspect that a Rolex dealer would not react favourably to someone bringing in a Pagani for a quick regulation.

Just got my V2 version of this watch in ice-blue dial for less than $40. This V2 version comes with larger hands and a 21mm lug space. But for $75 I did get their newest PD-1783 41mm Day Date homage, also in ice-blue dial, sporting an NH36 movement, and I must say that this is worth the x2 price over the PD-1645 I got: not only am I getting the additional day complication, but also some much more interesting applied roman numeral indices, applied logo, blue colored seconds hand, and a President-like bracelet of much higher quality than the PD-1645's Jubilee-like bracelet. You should do a review on this new PD-1783.

@@JustOneMoreWatch I've got a gorgeous, bronze Heimdallr SKX. But I'd love to see Pagani make one, since we'd get solid endlinks and a milled clasp for even less. The cheapest solid endlink SKX I've seen is Heimdallr, and that's $150-170. Steeldive's uses the same hollow ones as Seiko. Honestly, though, if PD offered C3 lume for under $100, I'd take a Vostok-level bracelet.

I've been torn between getting one of these or the Cadisen homage to the day/date presidential model. They're similar enough that I don't really want to buy both, but each one has features pulling me in its direction. On one hand, I've never owned a Pagani so this one would be a chance to check them out, and it's a bit cheaper. On the other hand, the Cadisen has the presidential bracelet and the Rolex style day across the top complication, two things I like the look of and don't have yet in my collection, and while Pagani would be venturing into a new company and thus be cool for the curiosity aspect i DO have a Cadisen (thanks to another LOMW review) and was surprisingly happy with the quality for the price. Decisions, decisions.

YES YES AND YES-Premium Paganni!!! A premium line would clearly be a very, very logical next step, specifically for Paganni...actually, uniquely so, for Paganni. Ffiiinnaallyy-the "Paganni 10" are coming-Hhuuurraaayyy; certainately, Paganni is unique in offering so many spot on homages, at those unbelievable prices, no one else comes close in number or price. Hey Jody, another good review. I have a vintage 1975 Datejust with the 1570 caliber and engine turned bezel. It's just a beautiful watch with its simplicity in design. The Pagani presents just as nice. The blue is a beaut and most people will look at it as a very good looking watch and won't even know it's a homage unless they happen to be a knowledgeable collector. I think a top ten would be a good idea. Stay safe.

If they were to do a premium line for more money, don’t you think they would cherry pick what they have, and the less expensive would be higher in the defects count as a result. It would be cheaper for them to have a quick line set up to do the cherry picking rather than have a specific manufacturing line doing spot on building. Anyway you look at it their overall quality would suffer. I like to take my chances on getting a nice one the way it is now. I can’t afford the extra money it would cost. You are the pro at these videos! You get it all said, except the band length, and you do it in an entertaining manner. You are the best on KZbin!!!

Had the blue one, was wonderful to wear, accurate and better finished than yours (variance in QC I guess). But no matter how hard I tried, in the end it DID bother me that it was such a clone, and that someday I’d have to explain ‘it’s not one, but it’s made of good bits, honest!’. It became my secret, guilty pleasure watch... Had to let it go, but perhaps should’ve worked harder at accepting it for the decent and enjoyable thing it definitely is. We live and learn, eh?! Not sure if that is likely to happen soon. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve heard that Russia and the Middle East are huge market for AE watches and in these countries the preference is for a giant, ‘frisbee of a watch’ on the wrist. This one seems relatively modest in comparison to some other PD models. 😆

My main disappoint with my Pagani is the clarity of the crystal. The crystal looks cloudy compared to most any other watch like a Seiko Hardlex crystal.

Great idea Jody, Pagani Premium range would be awesome. If you get some good feedback here, do convey it to Pagani. The only issue there would be them increasing the price without sufficiently increasing the features and QC to match it. Excellent thoughts Jody. I picked up the Blue dial and it was excellent, even the finishing of the inside of the bracelet was all smooth at it should be. It is big and top heavy like you said and the thin hands compared to the markers did give me a feeling of imbalance in the proportions. But end of the day, this model is fantastic as a daily wear. I agree with other posters, a 36mm version would get my money. Thanks again!

The Jubi is worth $75. Such a pretty watch, sparkle sparkle, I dig the Diamond indice models, the black dial would have Me smiling though. Great review, another watch on the radar. beauty Syd.

I bought the 36mm day/date version of this watch three weeks ago and I must say it is beautiful. For the $109 I paid for it I couldn't be happier. I don't care about having a real Rolex. I know the quality is better with a real Rolex but these days, Rolex is a mass-produced product too. Realistically, it's at the very bottom of the high-quality watch spectrum. This looks just as good and I've had several complements on it already. I'm keeping up with the time and so far it's within 1 minute and 12 seconds of digital time so I doubt a real Rolex would be any better. I'm considering buying the (fake) meteorite and the baby blue version too. Why not for $109. They all come in either 36mm or 41mm. I'm not into gold but those are also options. I assume the gold would fade fairly quickly for this price range. I do have a jeweler friend who said he would replate another watch for me for nothing so I guess that's an option if you do want to get a gold version. He said it only has to be submerged for about 5 minutes. I don't know how waterproof it is but surely it could survive 5 minutes in a gold solution. It has a screw down crown, hacking movement, and at least a 12 hour power reserve. That's as long as I've left it lying around.
