Great video. I love spirited away! Had no idea there was a book with the designs in it. I'll definitely have to get that. My favourite book for inspiration is 'the art of Wendy froud'. She's a sculptor who specialises in magic and fantasy (pretty much like her husband Brian froud) and when I get artists block, I love just flicking through and seeing all the weird and wonderful creations. I'll certainly be checking out a few of these though, especially the head drawing one.

Oh there's other Ghibli books too, I have Howl's Moving Castle but wasn't as impressed (however Spirited Away is one of my favourites, I may be biased haha) I've been Wendy Froud's work before actually (had to google just then though) infact I think I saw her work in mainstream book stores before I really saw much else of a fantasy-genre and it always stuck in the back of my mind :) Glad you enjoyed the video - let me know if you get any of these and if you find them useful too!

If anyone is interested in anatomy and so then I can highly recommend the books of Gottfried bammes. He made books about the human and any animals. I think that he is sort of the best anatomy "teacher" from all of the art authors for anatomy... Highly recommended.

Great video. I seem to have a very similar collection, although I haven't got the warcraft books, I have always been tempted but some are quite expensive now to buy. I had to comment after seeing the final fantasy 9 art book, I was always a fan and decided to buy the book last year, but I think it took me about 6 months to get a decent price one on ebay, like you said. The quality is good but not close to 'new'. Keep up the good work!

Great stuff! A agree Framed ink is amazing for composition for ALL art. I feel like I need that elemental book. My birthday is coming up so I may see about it. Thanks for sharing. I checked Canadian Amazon and... These are too expensive in Canada... Elemental magic is $60 which is not crazy I suppose but expensive, (I'll still consider for my birthday, was hoping for lower) but the really ridiculous no way one was Exotique 7... guess... $768..... Yeah I'll live without it, thanks. Wow, yikes.

Whoa that is a nice collection of wow art, I've gotta search online and see if any stores are selling. Probably not, but. I collect that kind of thing. Not just for wow, even though their take on fantasy is a nice mix, but soul calibur art books I have, among others. I do feel for you over that stain.. Thankfully it was only the very back page though wasn't it? so the front and most of the pages are okay? At first, my honest point of view with the coffee stain, the way it splashed, it looks kind of cool, that least it didn't dry on blotchy or so on. Sorry if I should just zip it, if I could, I'd buy you a spare, I never knew a girl that was interested in artbooks, specifically from games, where I come from, female gamers are either nearing extinction or might as well be endangered. Good luck finding 5.
