I recently got the disney sketchbook, which is a group collection of graphite concept art from disney movies from Snow White to tangled. It’s so inspirational, I love any art book that is filled with sketches

You have Searle's Paris sketchbook! Such a treasure, I've been looking for a copy of it for ages!

recently got Simon Steel Pigeon, you were so right!! I recognized Cory’s work from Tangled and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes unique art styles. One of my favorites for sure ❤️

I love the way that you described the books. With such love and passion, but also very articulate and not just superlative. Thank you for this.

This was so cool to see! I have the tangled art book and it is my absolute favorite! I would love to get the Zootopia book, but the book I have been wanting for a long time is the monsters university art book. That one is hard to find. Loved seeing the different educational books as well, I really need to check out the annual character design books. Thanks so much for this video! :)

I don't have any of the artbooks you've shown, but I loved seeing what is out there. I would also LOVE to have the Zootopia and Tangled art of book! An artist that creates artbooks that I love is Simone Grunewald, also known as Schmoedraws. Her character designs are just amazing!

Very good art collection ! I knew Viktor Kalvachev ,and he has a comic story called Pherone that you will like too. He was inspired from Sin city and Mignola but the way he tells the story is very cinematic .

Draw Like a Boss! Is an amazing book (for the way I learn) on the subject of drawing. Great list Jackie!

Yep. I supported the original Kickstarter back in 2013... they've had a sequel in the meantime which is also great in case you haven't checked that out.

I think the best art books I've seen so far are the coco, book of life and kubo and the two strings art books. I love how they developed the scenes, the paints and textures they use are so different from each other but bring life to each setting. I would also like to do full illustrations like that soon and seeing these sparked my imagination!🤩

I adore Tuesday Tips with Griz and Norm, I have volumes 1 and 2 and am eagerly awaiting volume 3😁 I also walked around with Simon Steel Pigeon in my bag for a year both as inspiration and a reminder that world building can be silly and fun, I tend to get bogged down with details and rationalizing things😊 That Mike Mignola book looks gorgeous, I have to hunt down a copy. My top four (five) Art inspiration books are The Art of Kung Fu Panda, Surf’s Up, Open Season, Hotel Transylvania, and Nico Marlet’s personal sketchbook. And for educational books I’d recommend Peter Han’s Dynamic Bible.

If you can afford art books, check to see if your local library has them (especially an e-book version). I will even go request new books for my local library

For fun see on KZbin Proko's 'Orginal Sketchbook of Henrich Kley- - Who influenced Disney ... ' Also, Rockwell's inspiration J.C. Leyendecker. Maxfield Parrish ain't too shabby either. Alfons Mucha ... all from the Golden Age of Illustration but still worth seeing. Recommend, for Illustrators between 1860-1920 and more, Pete Beard's channel "Unsung Heros of Illustration".

Great list of artist, the only one I’m not familiar with is Maxfield Parrish, I’ll have to check him out. I’d also add Arthur Rackham’s works, he was an amazing illustrator.

@@ourabouras Arthur Rackham is also featured on Pete Beard's 'Unsung Heros', actually a favorite of his since, afterall, Pete Beard is British :) Can't say enough how well made and presented 'Unsung Heroes of Illustration' is. Definitely, worth the time spent enjoying the vast series.

I know this was 10 months ago, however I wanted to ask what are some really good books for the fundamentals?
@ivydehler2439Ай бұрын
If you want the fundamentals of drawing (a foundation skill for painting as well), try "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. She has a book (4th edition I think is the latest) and a workbook. The workbook has all of the exercises that you need. I got the set, and found some of the information/explanations in the book helpful, while others were long-winded and unnecessary. I did appreciate using both books together, but you can use just the workbook and get to the meat and potatoes of the skill work and practice. You will be guided through many exercises and will be able to see your progress as you go.

Billion dollar insight to max profits, salary increase & charity donations via monetisation in industries, movie, gaming, anime and thesis. It’s easy to read Mandarin character on physical book spine as each character runs vertically top down. Why not “rotate English alphabet by 45 degrees” to make it stand out and easy to read the book title on the book spine for graphic design or art books?
@Broters1993 Жыл бұрын
5:37 i got that one , and it was a huge disappointment. Mu guy knows how to draw but zero creativity whats so ever , compared to the millions of artist out there
