great ink collection Rebecca and love your idea of using the bottom of the dip pen for swatching. 👍

That’s a brilliant idea to use the end of your pen! I go through so many q-tips. Vinta has several unsaturated inks. You might like some of those.

I just found your channel and I love how you classify and swab your inks! Also thanks for the tip on using the handle of the dip pen for swatching. I also liked your dip pens and ordered a couple. I'm sad to learn they are closing down however.

Hello Rebecca, I really enjoyed your favourite colours. I am happy to hear you are Canadian like me. I am near Niagara Falls, Ontario, born on Toronto , moving into the Niagara region before my 30th birthday. Nice to meet you!
@ThatLoganChick0002 жыл бұрын
It can be expensive to be into fountain pens as a Canadian. Those border charges from the US can be a killer.

Thank you for sharing. I forgot how I used to love writing with coloured inks. My favourite colours were blue, purple, violet, grey, burgundy and turquoise.

Excellent video! I’m a big fan of dip pens, so you have me looking at the Serendipity in golden orange with a broad nib. I love the idea of using the end in place of swabs. I may be on the hunt for that potato ink, too!

Because is potato! You’ll find the Serendipity super handy. And thank you. 😊

I'd never thought of murky pond scum as a color category, but it is somehow both very niche and very encompassing of colors that don't fit in other places 😂it reminded me that Cult Pens has a few exclusive Diamine "autumn" shimmer inks releasing sometime this November, and one of them is "Maple Leaf", but the other two are named "Murky Bucket" and "Muddy Puddle", which is also both strange for shimmery autumn names but very fitting for a London based store!

Those inks sound interesting! Yes, murky pond scum colours is an unusual category, but it’s better than calling it baby poop colours. Same shades, different name. 😆

Have you tried Dominant industry maple for a coral? (Thinking likely that you have…) I love JHerbin RdA & Colorverse Brunch date-Maple might be too pink for you but it’s gorgeous!

Love the ink collection, though the way you classified a couple of them triggers my inner artist nerd. ...like your "dusty pink" looks like a burgandy/wine/red color, almost like Red Dragon, and your "dusty pink" looks like safety orange to me. It could be the camera, though it does not get any more orange. Pink is more like a magenta--noticeably blue but still predominantly red. Noodler's Dragon Catfish Pink, or Baystate Cape Cod Cranberry would be the definitive bright pinks in my opinion, and a dusty pink would be that, but desaturated with gray. Your honorable mention would definitely be a dusty pink.

Suggestion for a fantastic glue that can hold your boxes together: Scotch Quick-Drying Tacky Glue. I used to sell it in my scrapbook store. It lives up to its name and the bottles do NOT dry out. (I closed my store 13 years ago and I am STILL using one of the many bottles I kept for myself.) P.S. Favorites really DO change, so it'll be fun to see your next favourites. :) Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try it.

Is it an ink or a glue? I am confused.
@beccacarrillo2 жыл бұрын
@@mariatriesart8389 I am so sorry. It is a glue. I had a stroke a couple of years ago and my brain and tongue get words confused from time to time. I swear I checked what I wrote...but I didn't see the error. I've edited my comment. :)

I've tried R.O.'s Caffe Crema (nice brown ink) but I would consider Akkerman's SBRE brown to be "warmer". SBRE is such a lovely, warm, orangey-brown color. I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive! I don't need the fancy smancy bottle....just the beautiful brown ink. ✒😍

I love all your not-that-saturated color choices, but your Blue-Black winner doesn't seem very black. I love Diamine's Prussian Blue and Indigo for dusky blue-black. 👍🏻
@ThatLoganChick0002 жыл бұрын
That classification was Blues and Blue-Blacks. My favourite was definitely in the classic blues range, you’re right it isn’t a blue-black. And my love for the not-that-saturated colours is strong. Glad to know I’m not alone!
