For most of Tarkov's lifespan Igolnik had a bug where it basically registered a hit twice if it went through armor, so it literally used to do double the intended damage. They fixed it recently, hence why it feels like PRS :/

If you haven’t tried the AK-101 yet, you’ve been cheating yourself. It’s a low recoil chad killer, throw a laser on it and hip fire like crazy. Sooooo good

I've been running a lot of RPKs, getting the gun for 50-60k and then only needing a sight, laser and a front grip makes it pretty budget. Plus, you can get a 60 round mag for like 30k. I try not to take every fight as I'm primarily questing at this point and PVP feels inconsistent in general, but the RPK has gotten me out of some pretty tense situations in this wipe and previous ones.

I know I'm in the minority here but I like using the stm on woods. It's quite, light, and not overly costly. Only problem I have is with ammo but pst it pso is normally good enough

Can confirm, as a woods main I had fun earlier in the wipe running a suppressed STM, got 4 pmc kills in one raid just face tapping them because of its non-existent recoil :) Nice gun for early-wipe + very cheap

Don't use 5.45 BP, use PP instead; now that PP has been buffed, BP has only 1 extra pen but way more heat, and is more expensive. So pack with PP, and some BT on top. (and later, BT with BS on top, igolnik doing too little damage)

Also BP adds recoil, if you run PP it's way more controllable and a lot cheaper.

Last wipe I found some Igolnik with a group on woods. I was trying to be nice so I asked if anyone wanted it, everyone said "nah, I'm good" and two other players in the group were running 5.45. Something has definitely changed

it does like no flesh damage and not many people are running t6 so you might as well just run bt or bs

Anytime I run something suggested I get one taped rounding a corner. I've tried peaks and swings. Both always end in demise
