Number two wins it for me. Simple, with excellent colour scheme. Thanks for sharing your work Adam.

I live in Germany and my english is very bad. In spite of that, I would like to write some words because I admire your pictures. Also the editing in PS, not too much and not too little. The pictures are soft and atmospheric. I also like the way you build your videos and how you comment on your work. I'm waiting for new videos and I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Thank you for posting this video. I'm surprised it took me until now to find it. It is most inspirational, and I've gathered a lot of ideas from it. I'm new to DSLR photography and on a retired and limited budget. After watching this one I've realized I have several local areas that hold a lot of promise. Especially considering that Fall starts in a few days. Thanks again.

I love the fact that you show the unprocessed raw and then the processed photo. I'm always surprised at how little processing you do to get your final prints. But I am also surprised that I almost 100% that I agree with your adjustments. That extra touch is another great learning experience.

Well done Adam! Very difficult to pick a fave as each image is spectacular by its own merit! My eye leans towards the 2 images from the Gobi Desert....especially the tree image. I know the soft sand tones work well but I can envision that comp working well as a monochrome also! Looking forward to another stunning year of image making!! Merry Christmas too! CS

I absolutely love the last image overall. The subliminal message in the image of growth against all odds is fantastic! Very inspiring video and I do really enjoy the cinematic drone footage in the intro that gives me chills and excitement.

Fabulous body of work, Adam. All wall worthy. “Best” is a personal assessment but I surely agree with your choices. I’m quite certain the video compression doesn’t do them justice and I can imagine seeing a print properly mounted and displayed would be even more compelling. Your images underline a few things I really need to put much more into practice. Simplicity, negative space, patterns and shapes, to name a few. I really love color but B&W was how I started and, indeed, why I got into photography in the first place. Somehow I lost that over the years. I’m now kicking myself over how many great images I’ve missed because I just wasn’t thinking about monochrome. Oh, by the way, your b roll and video production is just awesome, and I really enjoy your calm delivery and introspective content. It is so refreshing in comparison to so many others who seem to think frantic is the only way to keep peoples attention.

Not only are you an astounding photographer, but you have a fantastic sense for cinematography as well (and I'm not just basing this on the drone shots, it's something I've notice throughout all your videos). Wouldn't mind seeing a long film of yours, should it be something that tickles your interest. (This comment is meant to be an encouragement in case it was something you had thought of, not a subscriber's request or anything of the sort). You are an incredible photographer and I think your love of nature is the main reason for that, thank you for transmitting that through your videos.

I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the title of this video, but it is much more than that! Wow, Adam. I recall seeing some of these images in earlier videos (like the Gobi desert one with the trees against the dune background), but they are all just superb. My favourite is 10 (the birch/Aspen (?) which is absolutely exquisite. And the Tonquin Valley image is a close second! Amazing stuff. I am looking forward to your next images in 2020. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Lovely Images All! As to overcrowding in Canada's National Parks I feel your pain. I've lived just outside of Acadia National Park here in Maine for 43 years and it gets worse and worse and worse every year. In fact this year I didn't even attempt any photography in the park during the May-Nov period the park was so overrun with people. Fifty years ago when I first got involved in the environmental movement there were some who worried that as more and more people were drawn into the National Parks they would end up "loving them to death." I am afraid their prediction has come true. What to do about it is the question today. In 1973 I was driving from Vancouver to Montreal on the TransCanada Highway. At one point during the trip I listened to a radio broadcast discussing increasing overcrowding in Canada's National Park system (if they thought there was overcrowding then they should see it now!). One of the guests being interviewed made a statement which rang true then and rings even truer today: "Many of the people flocking to our National Parks are really just fleeing from overcrowded cities. They aren't really interested in or capable of appreciating the natural beauty within the parks, they just want to get away. I think that one possible way we could lessen overcrowding would be to build large parking lots outside the major cities where people could park their RVs or camping trailers, have a beer, and chit chat with their neighbors. Sounded like a good idea then, and 43 years of living by Acadia Nation Park has only made it sound better!

I'm glad some of your China images made it into your favourites. Your China series was really what cemented for me that you're the 'real deal'. As you said, you initially weren't that interested in going to China, I similarly wasn't too interested in watching the videos at the time of release because I thought it wasn't my cup of tea. However, the series is now among my favourite videos of yours. The images are great and I felt that the 'feel' of the area was expressed quite well in the videos as well. Downside though, pressure is on for 2020 lol, your audience wants more, bigger and better, drone'i'er?. We're a selfish bunch haha. All the best, happy holidays.

I really enjoyed the video and I have to say that your selection is so great. It makes me feel to get out and do some photographs by myself, but I have to stay in my bed because I got a cold ;-( I think you videos always have some relaxing mood for me as viewer. The image of the trees in the Gobi Dessert is outstanding! Thanks a lot and I wish you Merry Christmas!
There's an old mine shaft near where I live that has some beautiful ice stalagmites just inside the entrance during winter. Years ago I got a few shots of them. Unfortunately, there is now a grate over the entrance which totally ruins any chance of getting any decent photos. Also, your shot of the mushrooms I think is my favorite, however, in the few months I've watched your channel I would say you don't take any bad photos. By far my favorite photographer on KZbin.

Hello Hello Adam and again I am in total agreement of your favorites though I do see others from this year as very good contenders as well, for the prestige of being included into a selection of just twelve images. Going through the process myself of selecting a small number from my library is very very difficult for me I can only imagine how it must be for you. Excellent choices in your final presentation to us and thank-you for all the hard work of sharing the images, video, and narrative. This shows your true passion through devoting such time and energy to helping the community grow and learn from your vision, for this I thank-you.
