As big of a Spielberg fan I am, that one was never really up there among my favourites. I’m more of a Jaws, Indy, Jurassic Park guy because I watched them way more as a kid and they’re more action/adventure oriented.

Here's my age I saw E.T 3 times in four days when it came out, everyone watched it, still love it it was one of my aunt's favorite movies. RIP, she raised me in the 80's. My cousin that same year I was 11, said Jerry, watch this movie and it was The Thing; my favorite horror movie; second is the original Carrie. @@tythemovieguy4832

It was insane....ever week it seemed was a great movie. Empire, E.T. Rocky III, Raiders of the lost Ark, Superman II, Return of the Jedi...saw them all in theaters when they came out. @@tythemovieguy4832

Like with the 90s another interesting list. We do have different film tastes, but it would be boring if everyone liked the same thing. The 80s is my decade, i was born in 1980, so 70s to 90s is my favourite film era. I agree about Die Hard. For me, not only is it a Christmas film, it's one if the best movies ever. Erm yeah it is my second favourite for 1988, but that was a good year. I first saw Die Hard when i was 11 when it premiered on UK tv in 1991.

I think On Her Majesty's Secret Service had the bad guy win much earlier in 1969 than a Star Wars film in 1980. OHMSS certainly isn't one of my favourite Bond films, but even i can't deny that Blofeld got the win in a big way.

Erm actually that’s a common misconception we call the Mandela Effect. It’s when someone believes something false to be true. Most people think Darth Vader says Luke, but in reality he says no☝️🤓
