Yeaaah man, you're legit the best on MPC tutorials. For me, personally, knowing the actual details and "science" of what's happening to the sound is the difference between me using something or avoiding it. I'm a big fan of this plugin, especially for bass and drums so far. I noticed Jonwayne (Jon Makes Beats) used it a lot before I even got my MPC and started using it right from the jump when I received it.

Man when you put it on the Mini Moog it got phat, sounds awesome! Enjoyed it on the guitar too! Being a guitarist I definitely dig that tone. Sounds killer on all the examples though really.

@@TheCratesMotel would you possibly be able to make a video on suggestions for effects for a guitar? and how to get a solid sound. i cant seem to find any decent videos that sounds good. thanks you sir for everything
@Perico_Corleone_1999Ай бұрын
Crazy this is more informative then reading the manual , I hav to ask how would you compare this to the air soft clipper on the master
@TheCratesMotelАй бұрын
Difficult to compare in my opinion because I use them for different purposes on the master out. Clipper for volume and reduced dynamic range and the Tube Drive for flavour.

@@TheCratesMotel Then maybe I could suggest something. There is that guy, NavieD, who has a series on his channel, where he fixes peoples beats in terms of overall construction. I used to like to watch it but I think mixing and mastering problems are much more common. Maybe you could keep the mixing and mastering series (forever) but instead of fixing your clients' almost perfect beats, try to deal with community ones. The real world problems, you know. That would be really interesting to watch.
@TheCratesMotelАй бұрын
@@bartoszsowa5140 Hmm good shout. I will have a think. I am not familiar with this guy so I will check him out.

It was really bad on vocals; too much sibilance. How would you combat this, with AIR Kill EQ or another plugin?
@TheCratesMotelАй бұрын
Yeh, as I explained in the video, I wouldn’t use just Tube Drive as an effect on its own. I would have things before or after. Regarding vocals, of course they would be de-essed. The vocals in the video were raw and untreated. There is no de-esser in the MPC, however there is a way of building one in the MPC and I am literally working on that video as we speak.
@_thevaporzАй бұрын
@@TheCratesMotel Cool, thanks a lot for your tutorials. Looking forward to the next one! Cheers
@TheCratesMotelАй бұрын
@@_thevaporz I am actually recording a video tomorrow showing how to build your own De-Esser in the MPC, which is coincidental as you were talking about sibilance.
