What a great list! I’ve been falling in love with Equipage Geranium and it pains me to know it’s been discontinued.

Totally. Maybe one day it’ll come back. I’d take it over their latest launch 😕

The Caron was the perfume that became popular in Iran by the Shah of Iran. So, I went and I got it and WOW., its truly timeless. I immediately remembered the smell as my dad used to wear this cologne a long time ago

I hadn’t heard that! I agree, it is timeless. So easy to wear.

Spraying Eau d'Hermes with abandon? You're either insane or a genius! Either way...good work. ❤

☺️ I spray more of these than I do with some other scents…

new to frag but thanks for affirming the genderless perspective! (my preferences so far lean neutral to masc.) The overly strong, sickly sweet gourmands marketed to women these days don’t suit me, I’d just feel awk while giving myself a headache lol. It’s so cool how much u & ur nose knowww :3

Your video reminded me of Calvin Klein's Obsession. It might be something you'd like. It's similar to Grand Soir. Take care.

I do like obsession. I should try it again. I love the drydown of Grand Soir but not the opening, which lasts an hour or more on me.

@@CanadianBeautyBlog Glad you like Obsession! GS definitely draws from those spicy ambers of the 80s and 90s like Opium and Coco. I find those type of fragrances unisex.

I have my eye on a bottle of DHI and I’m not a lavender lover. What’s interesting is that I never used to think of lavender as masculine before I got into fragrances, mainly because it’s so ubiquitously used in home and spa fragrances 😂. It’s interesting how the perfume marketing can alter what we think of as feminine or masculine. Ombré Leather can be smelled from the moon 🌙. Wow!

You are so right! I’ve visited lavender farms and always bought linen sprays!

How is the Caron compare to the exclusive Boy ?? They seem to have kind of similar note listings and I really enjoy the Chanel one is it redundant to own both or are they different enough to own both? Obviously the Caron is or would be the more cost effective to replace! Lol 😂
@CanadianBeautyBlog5 күн бұрын
I had Boy and just sold it. The opening reminded me of cream VIM that I used to use to clean the bathroom. I think they are different enough that you could own both with the Caron giving more true lavender in the opening and Chanel being a lavender-citrus combo.
@lanelukefahr11845 күн бұрын
@@CanadianBeautyBlog well I’ll be that’s a shame about that Chanel but I understand that can happen. Lol 😂 well at this point it’s silly not to have it in the collection I will in the future plan on picking it up. Thanks for the good video!!

I only wish companies would apply a genderless design to their bottles too. Some do. But definitely not Caron and Dior. I think with a non-gendered bottle design the concept of gendered scents would also just naturally disappear. As it should.
