I'm sorry you're not feeling well, it's definitely a journey. I have most of the scents you mentioned also in my collection. Iris is one of my most worn notes; I find it very calming. Thanks for the laugh about the "old lady" comment! I now actually take it as a complement since I have lots of those types of fragrances in my collection too.

Hi Gail, I say I'm tired of this journey I'm ready to be an old crone and have it all over with! Bring out my real old lady, what a goal, and I love old lady perfumes. What is is about iris that makes it so incredible? I lust after iris perfumes and I'll practically blind buy if the perfume promises to be iris heavy. Thank you for writing:)

Can one ever have too many Iris frags? I think not! I probably have around 10, maybe more. They are a major source of comfort to me! Love your channel, Wendi!

I love your channel. I don’t follow a ton of ppl either. I love that you DO talk about the same perfumes. I listen to perfume channels because I love to hear ppl talk about something that interests me. My least favorite channels are those who only talk about new, new new….rave about them….then you never hear about them again. So they must not be that great. I love that you talk about some real hidden gems (mostly affordable) many Ive never heard about. Several here I want to look into. I love all types of perfume including heavy hitters. But my favs tend to be light and airy and classy/timeless that are work friendly. I’m going to pop into my Dr. appt then listen to the rest on the way home. ❤

Hi Chris, thank you so much, I appreciate that a lot. I am sometimes a bit nervous about repeating myself, but the truth is half of what I wear are stuff that I've worn for years one way or another, so I want to talk about them and give them love! I will have to get a little decant bag for you together if you'd like for things to try.

Glad to have found your channel. Loved your recommendations and your "weird" thoughts. I live in a hot climate and am an old lady so love a light but interesting perfume. Love your style.

Hi Linda, thanks for writing. I'm glad you are okay with my perfume rhapsodizing ... I can't help it! I am personally a winter fairy type of personality but lately ... need the lighter stuff for sure.

Hi Wendy. Im sorry you’re not feeling well. I always like powdery fragrances when I’m not feeling well. I have drug store fragrances, and also high end fragrances, but I always seem to reach for the old classics. Loves baby soft, Emeraude, and musks. You are my favorite perfume reviewer. I’m always happy to see your reviews. Sending you good vibes to feel better. ❤🌞🌹

Pinki my friend thank you for the well wishes, they really do help. Oh powdery fragrances are a nice idea, I should dig out L'Instant Magic from Guerlain, have you tried that? The powderiest of powdery powders ever. And the old classics really are the best, they just hum with my soul!

I love Iris too.. Iris is very soothing and comforting. I feel that way about most Guerlain perfumes and Chanel perfumes.. my favorite atm is Comete. It’s divine. Merry Christmas to you Wendi. 🎉🌲🥳

Hi Shirley, it's nice to hear from you and Merry Christmas to you! I have not had the opportunity to try the Comete, do you find it worth the price? I can't tell if it's simply elegant or a bit not enough. I hope to be able to test it at some point. Tell me more!
@shirleycantoni315221 сағат бұрын
@ Wendi, trust me when I tell you Comete is one of the best perfumes of the 21st century in my humble opinion. If you go to the Chanel boutique, don’t wear any perfume, and spray over spray , yourself with it and then walk off and let it linger. You’ll go back and get it. Totally worth every penny. I even wear it to bed, it’s like a big fluffy euro pillow. Divine and very Irisy. Xx

@shirleycantoni3152 Oohhh I might be able to go to the Fashion Mall in Indy next month. I will make a point to test it at the Chanel counter and save my quarters. Thank you!

So sorry you’re not feeling too well. I think Iris is so comforting. When I’m not feeling good I always reach for Hiris by Hermes. It’s just the right combo of wet garden earth with a low dose of florals for me. Currently reaching for Dior Homme Intense because of the comforting Iris, not to mention a dupe of OG Dior Homme 2011 with that airy but lipsticky iris scent. I normally prefer lighter scents but this past month I’m finding myself drawn to darker, ambery, patchouli scents, which is uncharacteristic of me. Been dousing myself in L’Interdit Intense by Givenchy with that delicious tuberose, sesame seed, and vanilla. Hope you feel better and I really enjoyed your video 🤗❤️🩹

@@mamoni7703 Thank you Mamoni. Oh I love Hiris as well such a comforting fragrance with just a hint of spooky undertone! That is so funny I've been using my black bottle of Linterdit, the sesame/tahini note works so incredibly well and is so unique! The weather here has cooled thankfully and the ambers really are nice. Thank you for the well wishes♥️

Oh, Wendi! You made me laugh with that comment for Prada 😂 one third of the bottle used and ‘I’m running out’ 😂 that’s what happens when you love a perfume so much! Great to see you again!
@wendisparadeofperfumes503421 сағат бұрын
Hi there Anah what is the ratio we should use to decide when it's time to proper panic about "running out of my bottle" seeing a half full bottle I can't help it I get nervous! I can't live without my scents lol. I hope you are doing well.

Hey there, fellow fragrance content creator here :) Happy I found you! Possibly going through perimenopause and loved hearing your favorites and why :) I know the feeling when you want something light and not overwhelming. I’ve been reaching for the Guerlain Aqua Allegorias since they are light and don’t stick around forever and ever. I also like a honey note for soothing purposes. Subbed and it’s a pleasure to meet you. 🌻 Ghada.

Hi Ghada, thanks for the note and I totally took a look at your channel & subscribed. The AAs are another great lineup for interesting but not too overwhelming ... I really love Nerolia Vetiver, and the Rosa Rosa's lately as well. Please say hi any time:) Wendi

I love iris also and I have L'Attesa. I find it very vegital and that is so interesting to know that it has aroma chemicals! I didn't know that. I will have to sniff it more intentionally next time. I had read that Masque Milano used a high proportion of real iris butter in that one. I also bought Chanel Cristalle Eau Vert last summer and I agree is it very light wearing and short lasting which does bug me. I got mine at the discounter so it wasn't a huge amount to pay but had I paid full price I would be very disappointed in the performance. Funny thing is, I had heard it was discontinued (it's not) so I had to get it as one does, lol. oxJulia
@wendisparadeofperfumes503421 сағат бұрын
Hey Julia! I really do think that L'Attesa has a lot of iris in it, and the iris changes, like it's not a mono - iris, it is very pretty. But yeah I noticed the synthetic woods a bit, but it's not too much, and it works with the dryness of the whole composition. And I know the threat of discontinuation ... what if we MISS OUT WE SIMPLY CAN'T lol. While longevity and sillage aren't always the top priority for me, it can be disappointing when a pricey perfume is fleeting. The Eau Vert is good enough but if it was much more, or a little less, I think I would be a bit mad. I think they discontinued the "Eau Concentree" but kept an "Eau de Parfum." I am not sure what the difference is but I do like the EDP.
