Great to see the Belgie getting some attention. It's my favorite road bike too.

As always the topic is designed in XYO, at least 95% of bikes are made in China or on order from Taiwan. In their turn a Western bike"brand" has put the order... There is excellent manufacturer in those countries, and crap ones. The big brands do take customers for donkeys charging hidious sums. And impose groupset and wheels to enhance profit. If I ever need a new bike i will send my design to a factory and get it for 1/4th what known brand charge. 6-7K for a frame is just idiotic, they may keep it. And have a growing stock 😂 How they solve the numbers will in the end in keel over. Or cutting corners with material and crap bikes as result. Shimano with over 20 000 faltly crankset is one to mention. Get crippled or lose my life isnt a nice plan..... Due to a crank that fails! Lawsuits in mass is never a good thing, to any brand.

curve bikes are made in china not in melbourne

Hi @1337aznpro I apologise, my mistake on this one! The bikes are designed in Melbourne and the brand is based there. Speaking to the team, here’s a full breakdown for you: It’s kind of like saying Apple is a Chinese technology company when it’s headquartered in California and has manufacturing partners in Asia. I’m writing to you on an apple made in China. It’s still a bloody good phone. Curve Has 50 manufacturing partners that make up one Bike complete. We have never ever stated that we make titanium frames in Melbourne. We do however do our 3-D printing and bonding in house in Australia We too also have our own in-house custom painters. We also have our own frame builder and engineer and design team in Melbourne and we are a Melbourne based brand . We work with select partners that are the best in their respective field for example China for TIG welding titanium and Taiwan for steel frame building. We work with Columbus in Italy for the steel, who source their tubes from France for example. Columbus carbon is manufactured in partner factories in Myanmar for example. Is it no longer an Italian company? I think what you need to focus on is quality control, frame building and engineering expertise and Rider design products and that’s the focus that Curve specialises in. We also want to bring to the four affordable premium products. Not everyone can afford a bike for $15,000 just for the frame because it was made by hand, by one single frame builder in an artisan production process. We too have such confidence in our frames made in Taiwan and in China and some in Melbourne that we offer a lifetime warranty for the duration of 33 years I think it’s quite a disingenuous comment to say that something manufactured in Asia isn’t as good quality as something that’s manufactured in Europe or in the United States. For example these are still handmade frame builders probably with more experience and time in their field. Anyway @1337aznpro - hope that helps you find your way to understanding the difference between a sticker brand that uses a factory and a catalog to sell bikes THAT THEY DONT DESIGN OR ENGINEER OR CREATE themselves and a brand like CURVE that designs, engineers, independently QC’s and real world tests its products prior to their release. Cheers Rhino

The cost of what you pay for a bike welded in China doesnt add up to the premium that Curve put on their bikes - even with all the marketing acrobatics around "designed in..." I'm from Melbourne and I went to Mason and Cicli Barco for my Titanium and XCR steel bikes. Built by master craftsmen, not some hidden nameless factory welding the frames.

@@OllieJonesMod the guy was just saying that the frames were made in China, not in Australia, and the response is "it’s quite a disingenuous comment to say that something manufactured in Asia isn’t as good quality as something that’s manufactured in Europe or in the United States".... I think Curve dudes need a psychotherapy
