I'm not going to mince words. The GCN boys were INCREDIBLE. OK, maybe I'll carry on a bit more. 😮 Sometimes, because of their self-depricating humor, us viewers may lose track of how amazing the GCN presenters are as cyclists. Wow, what an effort by GCN! My "go to" ride is a 9 mile loop and very flat. Wind is the biggest variable on the ride. That said, my time can vary by two minutes. It's interesting that only one out of the 3 pro riders actually rides the super duper highly advertised highly aero handle bar...
@tymcbride34772 жыл бұрын
Your position on the bike is the biggest aero factor. You can’t fine tune your position with a fully integrated bar and stem. Probably the case that they are more comfortable and aero with a different bar… Just marketing
@TSonemusic2 жыл бұрын
@@tymcbride3477 ribble ultra bar is available in all common stem lengths and widths, so it probably isn’t position. But personally I wouldn’t ride a handlebar without bartape if you payed me to!

The one with the integrated bar was the most aero out of the 3. Narrow shoulders, flatter back. Most integrated are rubbish tho, if you need to get a long reach with narrow bars. Ribble one seems nice.

That was a good challenge. The GCN team sound train together for a month (2-3 times a week) and see if they could close that gap.
