Sonny's cousin was a piece of work. The best part was when he pulled up in a convertible, with the bad guys, where Sonny was waiting. Sonny put on that cute, southern, butter wouldn't melt in my mouth, drawl of his and dumped his beer in the car and Jack jumped out and he and Sonny took off. Great scene ♥️

I bet Jack took some lessons from Phil Mayhew. 😀 Really like this episode and Tim's score.

Loved the music in this episode. The Swingle Singers was a radical departure but they made it work very well. Nice to see David Andrews before he single handily ended the world in Terminator 3. He was also great in the UK as Detective Pulaski on the BBC.

Watching this show as a kid I was determined to be an undercover narcotics detective. Several years later I got into law enforcement and then finally made my way to working street level narcotics. I was then assigned to a multi jurisdictional federal narcotics task force. I LOVED my job. I got to see and do a lot of absolutely crazy things, but it definitely wasn't as glamorous as the show lol. Didn't even get a boat much less a Testarossa lol. Still one of my favorite shows ever.

While this show did take a number of liberties in the fashion and lifestyle area, the "Cops driving Lamborghinis , Ferraris and cigarette boats was based in truth. Any veichles seized in drug raid could later be used by the police for official business. Michael Mann, the creator took this rule and went with it. The fashions, locales and music was inspired by trends of the era and the rest is history.

@@jayanxiety Yes. I'm well aware. I did have a few very nice apartments and some nice vehicles. Our budget was huge and our resources were almost unlimited. I miss it to a degree, but it's not something anyone should do long-term. At least not as an active UC that works deep cover assignments. Maybe on the administrative side but continuous deep cover assignments will take their toll eventually. I will say even I was surprised at the lengths we went to create/protect our covert identity.

A great comedy episode. Innovative choice of music. I like it.

Best part period: Sonny orders a "Blackjack" at the bar, Jake orders a "Turkey". Sonny immediately rolls his eyes and says "figures"!

One of my favorite episodes, a rare bright spot in a woefully inconsistent final season. The teaser is impeccable: the music (a J.S. Bach fugue done jazzily), the cat & mouse game, the comedy...and of course Crockett’s hair. ❤️😁

Saundra Santiago (Gina), Olivia Brown (Trudy) and Edward James Olmos (Castillo) do not appear at all in this episode. Although never explicitly stated, it is possible Castillo's absence is due to his ongoing recovery from the gunshot wound he received in the previous episode, "Miami Squeeze".

Vice was totally running on fumes by Season 5. They pulled the plug at the right time. Show was totally tired and uninspired.
