With you about not spending huge amounts of money on wedding. Husband was listening to calls about this on the radio and one couple were still paying off the wedding debt 10 years later and needed to do so much in their house but couldn't. Looking forward to your makes especially your wedding dresses 💜

Oh my gosh what a jam packed video! you certainly had alot to say and share. I'm rying to convert the prices of the fabrics into Aussie dollars but I think I'd fall off my chair because they sound so expensive. having said that we all aim to get married just the once and because of that we can have license to get the special fabric. That fabric you did choose though is wonderful and it's going to be glorious! I just hope it's not a nightmare to sew for you. November is a great time of year for a wedding. I got married in September as I wanted a Spring wedding. My father in law didn't approve as January was the month everyone got married in the family - I choose to develop my own traditions sometimes. I think I will join in sewing something for endo even though I'm not in the UK - I know a young lady who suffers from it and one of my cousin in laws also - she couldn't have children because of her condition which was really sad. I sincerely hope it doesn't return for you as it is quite a horrible thing to have. I just never thought it was that common but it seems to be and you are right we should never be ashamed of talking about our menstrual health - I have two daughters, 21 and 9 and it's been very much an important part of both of their learning journey for caring for their bodies etc. Such a wonderful video today Jess looking forward to the next xx

Thank you so much for watching! And I completely agree, its one time only fabric and its within budget so very excited(and terrified) to get sewing ☺️😅 Thank you for your support with sew yellow for endo and for being so open about menstrual health 💛 xxx

Hi Jess.. you’re like a breath of fresh air and I love your enthusiasm for everything you do❤ How exciting!! You remind me of my much younger self as I also made my wedding dress and 4 bridesmaids dresses in the late 70s in Ireland. How wonderful that your Mom went along with you. Mine did too at that time. I’m not sure if I would chance making it now, but I’m looking forward to seeing you make yours. Your fabric is delicious (is that even a word for fabric??) I follow / subscribe to all those wonderful vloggers that you mentioned and they are just amazing! I feel like I’m visiting with good friends when I watch all of you. Take care and best wishes.

OMG! I CANNOT tell you how much I love the pearly fabric!! I can’t wait to see the journey of your wedding prep and, obviously, the dresses … I do have to tell you that I also think you’re incredible brave … I would be terrified to cut into that gorgeousness

Thank you so much! I am legit terrified about cutting into that fabric not gonna lie 😅 but we will get there!

I got married in 2003. I had a long, full skirt in ivory. I had a sleeveless bodice which had boning to support it. It was a deep red with beautiful bedding. A lot along the top line of the bodice and reducing on the way down. It cost £500 and that was a lot then. When you said how much the silk was i nearly choked. I cannot imagine what it would have cost to make the dirty in that fabric. Re dancing- i did Strip the Willow in that dress before I changed into my dress for the evening. It was epic :0) Best wishes for your wedding and your life together.
