The worst is that people like this Sarah actually exist

Yep I had a boss like her. I got countless writeups for not fixing how someone loaded a tailer. Think DVD sized box on bottom and a 75 inch TV box on ceiling so it was leaning forward and i refuses to put my life in danger cause the person needs more traininf.I wrote this on the writeup since were allowed to do so. Plus got my copy with it being a clear photo copy. After the 30th one hr the plant manager and him. I was given the choice resign or get fired. I wrote up above on the resignation. 6 months later a lawyer calls me asking did I have any unsafe experience at this company with me saying I still have my copys of the writeups. Turne out he didn't think I kept my copy and doctored the writeups removing my comments. So when he had someone else fix a trailer the wall of boxes fell on him with one hitting him just right in the neck to crush his wind pipe. The hr and plant manager when saw my copies cant say they went ghost white cause a ghost has a tan compared to how they looked. For they only saw altered writeups. So after damage control from this the plant closed up from osha fines paying the dead guys family and I got a 10k check which I donated cause it felt like blood money

Nor really, those stories are stories that original play in Japan or other Asian culture and were "adapted" to US listeners. That is why geography is all messed up and society norms don't go along with the US business culture.

The mixed nationality of these stories is jarring, so no American viewer can suspend disbelief. Few Americans drink tea on a daily basis. They drink coffee. Likewise all the attention on educational superiority. College degrees make a difference when hiring, but if someone is doing their job well they would never get fired just because of their education. Lying on a resume is usually a firing offense, whenever it is discovered. Age discrimination leads to expensive lawsuits. If you are going to make obvious references to Japanese culture and business norms, leave it in Japan.

Yes, because Republicans have such a sterling reputation for never screwing workers. Who exactly do you think is responsible for the fact that your employer can fire you for absolutely no reason beyond their having a bad day? Which party blocked the elimination of employer-caused delays in beginning to receive unemployment? Which party blocked raising the maximum daily fine that OSHA can assess against businesses maintaining life-threatening work environments to something every one of the worst offenders can’t simply ignore, because it’s more profitable to keep paying the fines than make changes to stop the workplace from being a WW II era work-camp? (And BTW, the Democrats agreed to every single Republican proposed change to how those fines will be assessed, and the Right still wouldn’t go for it.) Which party has blocked every legal attempt to put an end to Regulatory Capture being used to eliminate smaller competitors in the market? (For a party that professes to be such proponents of the free market, Republicans do sure engage in a lot of Anti-Small Business activity, eh?) Oh, and which party wants to drastically slash the E.B.T, Medicaid, and Housing Authority grants that provide a full 50% of what the likes of Walmart and Amazon don’t in wages necessary for more than 70% of distribution center and floor employees to continue showing up for work? Oh, and BTW, according to the National Center For Farmworker Health, 49% of the 3 to 4.5 million migrant agricultural workers in the U.S are illegal immigrants. If Donnie Boy manages to keep the first campaign promise of his life, what do you imagine that’s going to do to the price of U.S grown produce? Those big corporate farms can get away with paying 5-6$/hour under the table to undocumented workers, but what’s going to happen when 1.2 to 1.35 *million* employees not only have to be replaced in a field where only 19% are American-born, but *all those new hires have to be paid more than DOUBLE* what the illegals were being paid? Do you honestly believe that the corporations *aren’t* going to pass 100% of those increases in pay + workers comp claims to every consumer? And that reminds me of something else. Which party wants to *end* farming subsidies, period, and just import more food at a greater expense? Don’t just listen to Fox, Joe Rogan and Trump, friend. *Inform yourself of the facts* .
