Hi guys.. It's great to watch you both. We are here in San Fernando La Union.. About 5 hours drive north of Manila on the West Coast.. I'm British. My name is also Mike and my wife is Filipina her name is Lorie. Although my wife's English is amazingly good and looks like Kats is too the reply to questions is always difficult when put on the spot. I don’t wish to generalize, but I dunno Michael, the majority of Filipinas I’ve known thruout my life (most I’ve had very close relationships with, but some were casual friends or coworkers etc…); they all really really enjoyed jewelry. Some prefer fashion jewelry becoz they don’t like to spend lotsa money on genuine gems or noble metals like gold, platinum, silver pieces that require care & the worry that can be associated with loss or robbery or insurance, etc…or they just like the look of fashion jewelry. But many Filipinas enjoy pearl, gold & gemstones & yes, diamonds. I kinda wanna say MOST Filipinas. That’s just my take. It doesn’t havta be super expensive, but Filipinas do wear wedding & engagement rings. Many Filipino men don’t, at least in older generations. Miss Catherine, you may call me out & say speak for yourself, vintage lady! I won’t mind; I know all women are individuals & don’t think en masse. But Michael seemed to be so sure of his assessment when I watched this vlog, 😆….and I….wasnt sure at all that he is correct on that point. Of course, budgets are real, & a scooter or car could be more appreciated by some women….but there will always be necessary items to be bought. A wedding ring isn’t necessary….but imo, it is appreciated. 💍vive la difference! 💖💙
