You’re a great dad and I’m sure she’ll love it. Also great choice on not inviting the internet into her bedroom. Sad times when people are so messed up but you gotta just be cautious!

When Raj left Intel, I thought ARC was finished. I'm glad to see them keep trying so hard with their drivers, and it looks like they are releasing battlemage too.

Incredible build! I recently just built a rig using this case with a ryzen 5 7600x, rx 6800, and 32 DDR5 6000 MHz Cl 30. I also had to install the expansion box to fit my gpu and ATX power supply. However, I was wondering how you were able to fit the top panel fully flush onto the case. For some reason I cannot get the top panel to fully sit flush on top of the case. The top panel toward the back of the snaps right in, but for some reason the panel toward the front won’t snap in and it doesnt sit flush on top of my case. I did remove the sama “shield.” Do I need to reinstall the sama shield to fully sit the top panel on top of my case?

It’s a nice build, tough I think getting Ethernet up to your daughters room would be a relative boon if she’s gaming a fair bit. I know that running wire after the fact isn’t something most of us care to undertake (bt, dt!) but maybe you could try something like Ethernet-over-wire (basically using your electrical wires) or MOCA (basically Ethernet over existing cable tv-type coax wiring.) I’ve used both to deal with a problematic area of our home (the faraday cages of bathrooms is where WiFi signals go to die…) and if you don’t need full 10 or 100g (which you really shouldn’t for gaming and most all purpose stuff; moving large files though will be a bit slow still) it should be a nice upgrade (and potentially a nice vid or two.) setup can be a bit finicky, but for the most part I had everything working within a few hours. Just a suggestion!

I have a WiFi 6e mesh network. The WiFi I installed in the system gets about 600 MB/s or 4.8 Gbps speeds in her room.

I'm old and it's been a while since I built a PC, but.... why does everyone keep their cases on their desk (instead of the floor)? For that sweet, sweet fan noise, even if these new systems seem to be much quieter than the boxes of old?

Just say she didn't want to be on camera for it. You don't need to say any more. Not everyone wants every/any aspect of their lives forever etched onto the internet. That said, I really like the screen door effect from the mesh side panel. Makes it look pixelated, but in a good way.
