I started my collection in 2004, but only had a few things and didn't really get into the hobby until about five years ago. Probably 85% of it came from eBay, and the rest I got from Craigslist, demolition sites, and various connections.

5:34 #9, the Simplex 2098-9451, that’s the same heat detector that’s at my elementary school, which was built in 1989. Been looking for the correct model # forever. And #18, The Simplex 4259-25, those smoke detectors are in the office at my middle school, could’ve possibly been installed in 1977, the admin building could also possibly date back to 1917-1938

I would like to, but a lot of the older devices are AC and won't fit on standard backboxes. I'm thinking of building a smaller portable board just for coded pull stations and bells though.
