I really liked your last message - one step at a time. I am back to school for a BA degree in psychology in my 2nd language at 48. I was in a place where progress seemed very slow, and unsure if this was the right choice. I am glad I came across your video. I will just take one step at a time and try enjoying what life has to offer one at a time. I appreciate all your adventures. Thank you.

Bierstadt was my first 14’er as well. Great hike. Congrats on the summit! I felt like I was reliving my experience from years ago while watching your hiking journey.

My first trip up Bierdstadt was a winter summit on a Superbowl Sunday in January. We got a wild hair idea on Saturday afternoon to go do a winter 14er the next day. We picked something reasonably close the Denver area and not to technical because we wanted to get up and down and back to our place in time for the game. Got up a 4am and drove up to the trailhead. The weather was great and the only thing sketchy we got into was triggering a small avalanche while on a snowfield about half way up. Thankfully we were all experienced mountain guys and girls and made it back for food and beers before kick off.

Just found your TikTok and made my way over here. Looks like you're living a dream right now. This hike looks amazing and I've added it to my list. I've oft dreamed of flying, but haven't yet pursued any formal training. The universe (or the algorithm more likely) keeps reminding me of that along the way. Cheers!

Loved the vid. I hike Beirstadt with my college friends back in 92 when we took an adventure trip out there from Cincinnati. We climbed the mountain, bungee jumped, whitewater rafted and mountain biked. It was a great week I will never forget. It was my first mountain and your heavy breathing took me right back to that that day. I still keep in touch with my college buddies and that trip always comes up in convo. Great vid. Love your page

@@mylayoverlife Not sure where in Denver (NE side of Denver I think), but at the time it was the highest man made structure in North America. It felt real hi when I was up there. I have a VHS tape of it somewheres. It was 1992 I think.

If your ever in Utah (which btw if you are I’d love to meet you) mount timpanogos is fun to hike it’s a little over 11,000 at summit an there is kings peak the highest in the state, 13,000.

Awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever had a layover in Utah in my career, but that doesn’t mean I won’t come visit! Thanks for the idea!
