My first 180 degree spin! - Autocross #3 for 2017

I bought my MR2 Spyder in July 2015, and it turned out to be a bit more of a project than I was banking on. I enjoyed autocrossing it a few times last year, so this year I have new tires, new wheels, and I'm trying to compete for the entire season. However, I'm up against some stiff competition in STR from (you guessed it) S2000s. Follow along!

Next time, shift down to first at the hairpin and push out. You have to learn to ride it. Don't get scared. Worst thing that could happen is going off to the grass

I tried downshifting into 1st at some previous events, and the synchros are worn enough that I'd need to get a pretty perfect rev match to cleanly drop a gear without slowing down my overall time. I'm practicing my rev matching, but until I'm confident I can do that instead of stressing the trans (it only has 3k miles on the rebuild), I'll probably just lug it out of second :-)

My mr2 no run great 😑. At 30 minuts on check engine and say code rich gas. Not solve problem. Yours sound great !!

I feel like the girl drives slower but more confidently but the guy drives faster and less confidently, just gotta work on that now and it’ll be cool
