Why would a life insurance company refuse to send the account to the state? Could they be trying to payout less money than they are supposed to? Could it be a scam? It's been over a year.

I agree, I started with 2 different insurance companies but I couldn't get training, they just wanted me to recruit friends and family. Just like Peter said, I didn't want to start telling anyone anything until I knew what I was doing. My recruiter was persistent to just call anyone that I thought wanted "to help" me and he could do the work for me. But that wasn't going to help me or the client.

Peter, I always enjoy your content. I've been at it for about 16 month and sold exactly 1 policy. (IN HOME from Door knocking) I must admit I could have tried harder. It's just so confusing as a new agent if you don't have good upline support ( I didn't). In home or telesales? One call or appointment setting?Best leads? Best script? Best carriers? Products? Objections? E&O insurance ? All while keeping a "day job"...and kids...and naysayers and on and on. I agree with you that it is much more difficult than we are led to believe and that we need more honest discussions about the pitfalls involved in getting started. It's truly a business and not just a sales job. But still, I haven't found a better opportunity that comes anywhere close to this one. I finally have the time, money and office space to get back on the horse. But of course it happens to be the holidays..... Can you make a quick video about selling during the holidays? Pros and cons? Objection and rebuttals? Is it worth it or better to wait til after the new year ? Do most agents take the holidays off ? Does that create an opportunity for the Humble and Hungry? More leads in the CRM? Thanks. I hope to get to chat with you in Miami. Enjoy your holidays.

I got a job offer. After reading many of the responses,and comments about selling insurance or life insurance to people 65 or older. It felt like they were taking advantage of elderly people to pocket money. After pulling up the company and looking at their yearly revenue 250 million dollars. Yet this company like many have over 3k agents. Living in Fl insurance companies are a dime of dozen many will take advantage of the RetirementCommunity . Salespeople are like narcissists little con artists you can’t trust. If you want to get into selling and promoting yourself and you believe in the product line Cosmetic industry, hair , makeup, designing. Insurance If I have to work for a company and on top pure money into making some CEO richer naw!

@hobojungle1
@hobojungle1 Ай бұрын
There’s a start up cost like in any business. Unfortunately in most companies within this industry, if you’re 1099, you’ll have to pay your way through the learning curve. Buy a ton of cheap, aged leads and find the few people in that stack that are willing to talk to you. Some people will have slipped through the cracks without having bought at the time when their lead was new, or find them a better deal on a policy to replace what they have. Some people may just want to get additional insurance. It’s a frustrating grind but you’ll skill up, and thicken your skin through the rejection. When you’re competent through the repetition then buy newly generated leads which cost more but your returns will be greater because they haven’t been hit up previously by however many agents, and your skill set for selling will have improved.

Every multimillionaire I know doesnt run a course. Doesnt make content like this. For real.. your interview with a broker should be them selling how they are going to help YOU succeed. Especially if you are 1099. I was in Medicare, I did decently but it’s seasonal so I am switching to something year round. When I met with this broker face to face he was all about what they do to set ME up. Do not sign with anyone who is looking for a seat warmer, or who hands you a script and says “good luck”.

@@peterroberts9686 I would like to know how you managed to land a job like that. most people have to have experience in the tree care industry before just becoming a sales arborist and selling tree removal of all things. Thats highly complicated work and you dont scream "tree guy" to me.

You made 10-12 grand a month working for a tree company? I smell something . Smells like bullcrap. No 22 year old is making over 10 grand a year working for a tree company. Or quite because it's not enough money. SO your telling people you quite a 140,000 a year job at 22 because you seen a podcast. You are so full of crap dude.
