That's actually not memory loss, that's shock. Happened to me twice too, it feels like your senses are fading away and you can't think at all, if you asked me 2+2 I couldn't answer. Once it happens when I twisted my ancle and once when I fell off my bicycle at high speed. Actually your brain can't handle this much pain and it kind of shuts down partially to block the pain.
