My first amateur boxing match 55kg juniors in Brighton

On Saturday the 23rd of September I had my first amateur boxing match in Brighton. I secured the win Unaminous decision although I didn’t box my best due to waiting around for hours feeling intimidated by watching dozens of boxers fight before finally having mine and just wanting to get it over with. I still boxed well and have came a long way in boxing in my 9 month journey and is only the beggining of many more wins to come. Thank you to my coach Dave for bringing me out to Brighton and supporting me in this fight as well as all the other coaches back at the gym for developing my abilities to be able to be having this bout.
My first fight is important and I will always remember it. I’ve watched this over and over to spot the mistakes I’ve made and how I can do better for the 7th of October so I can become 2-0. My opponent was a good nice kid but unfortunately only one person could win and I trained too hard to let the long journey to Brighton go to waste. And last of all thank you to everyone in Gosport and my family that were rooting for me at home. #teamhop

Very nice fight,I wish good luck in boxing journey😀I was watching professional boxing and I came across the video. My sons love and train boxing too. Even I think about start amateur trainings for fitness and to remain good form. Sometimes I try spar with the oldest son but I lose :) I "won" once, only after I decided to do a joke and I hit him in the balls,just for laughs...
