I just chopped mine today, after 6 1/2 months of transitioning. I was going to wait between 9 months to a year before chopping. But my hair was acting really crazy today after I washed it, I got frustrated and just grabbed the scissors. I just need to make an appointment to get it evened out (there are still a few straight strands in there) & styled. If nothing else it's easier to wash.

You are beautiful long or short hair...and it looked like ur hair just needed a trim but it looks great....I am 3 weeks in of the big chop of 18 inches of hair...and I DID NOT TRANSITION....I did a one month new growth and cried the whole time so seeing videos like this give me hope for better days😊 Thanks for posting

Robyn Mariee I did my big chop Sunday, it felt good but then a few hours afterwards I started feeling ugly then I got sad for a while. It’s probably because I wasn’t used to it. I also need to ask you this question, after you big chopped how did your ends feel? Mine were still rough and hard to get through just like how they felt when I was transitioning and I can’t even tell what my curl pattern is 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

Joy Mutheu you did a great job. I did not wet mine too and it came out great. I feel people wet it when they are scared to cut it. I was lucky some of my perms broke off at the back so i had gone natural at the back of my head. It made it easy to chop off.😄
