Hey Jeff, im no supercross pro but watching the likes of James,Ricky,Ryan they always see to tap the rear brake to nose the front into the landing if they know are going to case, it bounces you forward instead of stalling all momentum and propelling you in any direction. Just something ive observed the best of the best do so it must work never the less im not a pro and dont pretend to be so just keep doing you! Enjoying the vids.

I'm a big fan of the mobius wrist braces for these types of crashes - really simple to put on, not bulky, and do a lot to help in weird crashes since they have armor for the top of your hand, wrist, etc. $200/each is way cheaper than a ER visit.

Sweet video, Jeff! Hope your wrist gets healed up quickly. As for the way you handled the crash, was pretty good. Like Jerry said, if you have landed more front end down you probably would’ve been fine. The only reason I know this is because AJ Catanzaro told us in a video when he was breaking down crashes lol. In supercross you want to land as neutral as possible. Hope you get better soon!

What he does with going off then coming back on and putting around until the section he crashed on. You have to build momentum. JWalk is doing great though. We’ve all been there. My first day on supercross I framed the shit out of a triple and bounced so hard I ejected from the bike lol. Just focus on getting A LOT of seat time and it’ll come way easier, it’s all about being comfortable and relaxed, then you’ll be doin 15’s no problem. Best thing to learn whoops is just commit a few times, get it clean once and you’ll have the confidence to go through them fast every time, trick is making your front wheel hit the 2nd or 3rd whoop to get the bike settled right. Make sure you’re in 3rd or 4th coming out of the turn and hold it wide open. Also the stiffer the better lol wish you the best of luck Jeff 👊🏻

SX triples are no joke. Not even possible for most amateurs and keyboard warriors. Glad you're not seriously injured; smart to call it a session if you're not 100%- SX isn't a track you can be ragged on after a fall. Get some ice and elevation on it and get back on the horse for the next session. I plan to stop by with a brief hello for the Arlington event. Keep going!

it is always important that when you feel pain, or have a heavy blow. never move immediately after a crash. never be rushy after a crash in supercross as well. I thought you raised your thumb, that maybe the pain caused. let your joints and muscles recover the 1st 10 seconds and then move on. Ice or cold water for 5 min and that will reduce an injury often up to 20% and will ensure a faster recovery. if you are hesitating for a jump you still have your brake ;))) but I certainly don't need to give you a riding lesson. you'll be on a high supercross lvl pretty soon! keep up and start from the beginning when there is any uncertainty! riding is amazing!!

Took the "fall" like champ!! I recommend a purchase of Mobius X8 Wrist Brace(s). Or if you're under contract, going with that sponsors wrists brace. I use the mobius knee braces and love them. They have with out question saved me from a broken knee/leg when i took a hard fall and the full weight of the bike landed on me and pinned me under it. Best of luck my man!

I wouldn’t say I’m on your level these days but when I was younger and racing 250s I was always taught not to loft the front wheel if I’m coming up short, but rather let the the front forks eat it as much as they can. I’ve stayed off the ground a few times with this advice, nuts take a good shot though lmao.. I will say the few times I forgot and let my fear take over and I loft the front wheel, this is EXACTLY what happens. Ass end hits, bounces me way onto the front tire and then I eat shit very hard into a faceplant.

He's right. Most cases are made worse by our natural tendency to land rear wheel first. Probably 8/10 times you could just push the front through it and be fine. JS7 is a good example of someone who always did that, even on some brutally short landing he would stuff the front into it.
