Church is the structure or place of worship. Parish is the community, or the area or locality of where the church is located, often named after a saint as a patron.

Church stands for many kinds for example catholic or protestant and etc. Parish for community or baranggay while chapel for small residents area ( eskinita ).
@alexbabiera786011 күн бұрын
The church is the mystical body of Christ, composed of the Christians inside a parish, a local congregation or a local administrative district , while a chapel is the place of worship. Sometimes, the church may refer to the structure or a place of worship but the Church is really the gathering of Christians, headed by Jesus Christ. The parish is headed by a priest.

A parish is a Christian community within a church, while a church is a physical building where people worship.
@renpinero317112 күн бұрын
Parish and a church are both places of worship. But. .a parish is a church which has administrative powers. It has a certain territory or covering an area of supervision. If you're familiar with state of Louisiana which has heavily catholic population instead of counties , they refer it as parishes.
@krdiaz802610 күн бұрын
Nope. A parish is an area under the authority of a parish priest. Several parishes make up a diocese. A parish church is the official church of the parish where most masses and sacraments are held. In a larger parish, there could be smaller chapels where mass could also be celebrated, so the people don't have to travel to the parish church.

catholic wise, Church means the whole body of Christ from the pope to the last backsliding parishioner. church small c means the building. a parish is something different, it's like Church but on a local level. the people or community who regularly hear mass in a specific church and attend its activities are parishioners or members of that certain parish. it's the parish that administers the church. a parish may be large like in our city's basilica, or small like in our neighborhood. there are even parishes that don't have a church building, especially in places where religious practices may have to be kept under wraps. anyway, that's as far as i could distinguish them 😊

Thank you so much for the sub 😄❤️ Regarding your question: On paper, I've been here 5 years, but in reality it's been more like 2-3 years...I came for the first time in 2019, then came back again in 2020, but two weeks later the COVID lockdown happened...I basically got stranded here. So, I didn't really get to start enjoying the Philippines until late-2022 after I came back again, I basically haven't left since.

A parish is the area under the eccleciastical authority of a parish priest. Several parishes make up a diocese, which would then be under a bishop. Several dioceses make up the whole church which is under the pope. The parish church is the official church of the parish where most masses and the other sacraments are done. It's also where the priest lives. A larger parish can have smaller chapels owned by the community where masses can be celebrated so the people don't have to travel far. A chapel is NOT a small church, but is any church that is for private use, i.e. used by a specific group of people according to their specific needs, hence churches inside hospitals and campuses are called "chapels" even if they are not small.

That's nice! I noticed that you guys had the "Solo" baptism. Doing so, the parents and god-parents miss the valuable lessons that should have been learned in "PRE-BAPTISM seminar." I do that. It's an hour of lesson with parents, ninong and ninang (god-parents). It's a CRUCIAL seminar/ingredient if they want them to fulfil their role for the betterment of the child. I hope the priest gave the lessons necessary.

Thanks for vlogging the best parts of town. I get embarrassed when people vlog about the worst and miserable parts of the Philippines. I mean, I wouldn’t go to ghetto places here in America and show the whole world the dark side of America is like. The same with the Philippines. I only like to see the great and best parts of the Philippines.
@ErickChamu10 күн бұрын
Honestly, there’s so much to love about the Philippines, and I’m always excited to highlight its rich culture, warm people, and amazing places...I mean, the Philippines easily has some of the most beautiful places and people in the world, it's not really that difficult to show how amazing this place is. I think there's still some room for showcasing certain places that are economically challenged or that have been forgotten altogether in a meaningful way, but the way some vloggers do it is pretty cringe...they probably mean well, I try not to see malicious intent in their actions, but it can be tough to watch.

Dude, how is driving in Manila compared abroad?
@ErickChamu10 күн бұрын
Honestly, driving in Manila can be scary at times xD Driving in any city you can expect chaos but Metro Manila is a different beast. Getting used to roads being so narrow, cars being super close at all times, constantly having motorcycles within inches of me, and there always being traffic wasn't easy...Also, in the US it's all about defensive driving and respecting the right of way, but in the Philippines you HAVE TO learn how to drive offensively. Getting used to being an offensive driver while still being cautious took me a while, I literally felt like I was breaking every rule I ever learned in California. I think the main difference between driving in Metro Manila and Los Angeles, California (a city known for it's heavy traffic, especially during Rush Hour and the holidays) is that in Manila the organized chaos is king...with vehicles weaving in and out of lanes and motorcycles taking every available gap, I pay 100% more attention when driving in Manila than any other place

The simple answer to why the Philippines over Thailand: My future wife is from here...I met her before I knew anything about the Philippines...she could've easily been from Indonesia, or Colombia, or anywhere and I would've been making content about that country...but I do love it here very much, and I'm very thankful I ended up here.
