I got an educational thing for you. It's named the Playmobil paddling: Keep both your arm straight and make all the motion come from your hips and trunk.
@FoilingPastor4 ай бұрын
@@nellcpr1419 I will try to implement this in my next session. I already did two more, but still need to edit them.

Your pump technique looks much better! Coach Casey shows great illustration on starting with no pump and build pump speed(cycles). Compared your first sessions to now. Paddle can provide efficiency’s but its pump that will get you on foil and beyond. Try just paddling as fast as you can and you will not get on foil. You can pump a foil up without paddle. Gwen and Riggs also demonstrate how important pump is with no paddle pump ups. Looking good!

Paddle technique, your top arm can be slightly bend, your downward arm needs to be fully stretched out, also when you make the stroke. I am a long distance sup paddler for 13 years. But still working on my paddle strokes 😊. There is always room for doing things better. You now paddle out of your shoulder and arm muscles with a bend underarm: it is exhausting and not effective. The paddle stroke comes out of your legs and upper (body) weight. The paddle technique is: put the blade in the water, it stays there and you pull yourself with your board to the paddle. See your arms as an extension of your body. You keep that triangle of your arms in the stroke phase. Good luck. And keep pumping those legs, looking good.

Congratulations! I'm curious to see how long stay up when you've found the balance. Interesting to see that your feet appear to be a bit closer together now than on the previous videos.
@FoilingPastor4 ай бұрын
@@LighterthanLife yes, that helped my quite a bit having my feet a bit more together, but I am not sure, if it gets a bit more difficult to pump with feet too close together

Marvinho, I have a question. I see you are using xxl sirus stab. Is the xxl sirus stab better than large size one? I know gong recommends large size for xxl front wing. Did you tried different stabs? Ever considering XXXL sirus stab? Does biger sirus stab help / is easier to get onto foil? I saw a guy on favebook forum just pumping with front sirus xxl and stab xxxl and he did oven an hour. Thats crazy good. For sup paddle up, is bigger=better? Thank you.

Hi Martin, for flatwater paddle up, I don`t know what stab size will be the best. I tried several stabs so far and own also the Sirus Stab in M (kzbin.info/www/bejne/j16rXqWhmtqGn9U). I didn`t consider a bigger stab, because for wingfoiling it`s helpful to have the same size, otherwise you will get more frontfoot or backfoot pressure depending on the difference stab/frontwing ratio. For pumping, Axis und Indiana believe and show that a smaller stabilizer works better to get records, for Gong I am not sure. I pushed my record to 8 minutes with the Sirus Stab XXL and I think I won`t be that good with the Sirus M, but I will need to spend way more time on the Sirus M to know that for sure. I guess it depends also on your weight, but with my weight of 65kg, pumping with the Sirus Stab XXL requires more leg strength than with the Stab in M. So at some point, needing more strength will counteract the better glide. Hope that helps. I am still in process of figuring everything out myself...

Nice try anyway. Problem one: Inflatables stick to the water. The lift is so much harder compared to a hard board. Two: Keep more distance to the tourist boats. Captains are told to slow down if SUPers appear nearer than 50m. It's not necessary to get close. Actually the waves are even better in a distance. And three: Keep on tryin' 🤙
@FoilingPastor3 ай бұрын
yes, I know that inflatables are harder to get out of the water, but I wanted to have something travelfriendly and you are also right, that I was a bit too close this time. It`s difficult to know the exact turning of the ferry. Sometimes it turns very hard, sometimes it doesn`t. I was once almost 500m away :D

@@OrelQir Ah, so you're a professional? I've invented and developed boards (hard and inflatable) for three different mayor brands and believe me - the rubber Susies still stick. Btw - it's measurable and the numbers proof that I'm right.

@@torotom2023 comment expliquez vous qu une gonflable décolle dans 1 knt ?
@OrelQir3 ай бұрын
