Don't listen to the stupid people who write negative comments, the last comment i saw suggested that collars are horrible for cats but its always bettter to be safe than sorry if your indoor cat does get out or gets into dangerous situations in your home the bell will identify where they are in your home. Aslong as the cat is fed, loved and healthy then thats all you need to worry about. If the bell does distress your cat then you can figure that out at the time but to me she looks rather relaxed and happy with it on, i love how everyone thinks their opinion is what is best. She is beautiful, you're doing a great job.

Yes I agree with your comment, but their are sometimes okay because they can suffocate if it’s too tight and cause serious injury but if you get the right collar then it’s fine

Well it’s very unlikely someone will put a collar on and leave it on the cat if it’s suffocating because it too tight. As long as they can fit a finger inbetween the collar and the cat it fits fine. It’s not too big or too small. Most importantly it has to have a clip so it can undo when it gets caught.

Tips for new cat owners Keep the water bowl as far away from the food as possible if it’s close to the food they think it’s been contaminated If you use a collar make sure it’s a breakaway collar Don’t switch the foods so often it can upset their stomachs If you clip the claws don’t clip them too far down If they don’t use a scratch board try putting catnip on it They need to be flead every month and wormed every three months Use pet safe cleaner to clean the litter tray it needs doing every week while scooped out every day Get a litter mat for the litter tray

You should get a Water fountain type bowl for your kitten, and a levitated food bowl. It helps with their posture, and motivates them to drink more often!

I just adopted two female 12 week old British shorthair(dad) X Ragdoll(mom) mix. It is only my second day with them and I could say that I truly adore them. One of them loves to be picked up and the other does not. One has short hair the other one is a little fluff ball but they are both oh so freaking gorgeous. They can be the calmest kittens around and then out of nowhere they get a case of the zoomies and start darting and roughhousing together. I named them Sasha and Porsche(a). Will come back with an update. Strongly recomend this mix and definitely get two from the same liter.

That’s very normal sometimes kittens are very scared in their new home. It’s best to keep them in one room or a just allow them access to a few rooms for the first few days so they get used to their surroundings ☺️

Heres some tips on new cat owners If your going on a trip make sure you take bella to the vet prior to get an injection Make sure you have portable litter box or the safer option is pee pads also 3 weeks prior before the trip play with some toys around the carrier to get them used to the carrier Treats that are treated for hairballs in stomach which is very serious bc they will tend to swallow hairballs while grooming itself Dont take them in a loud environment make sure the room is calm when i had my cat she tended to sleep on me instead of her bed dont be alarmed if they sleep on you instead of the bed hope this helps for newly cat mom/dads!!!

Great video - she is so beautiful! 6 months ago I got my first kitten, Pumpkin who is a British Shorthair, and then 4 months ago I got Apollo our Maine coon. Going to breeders is so important because like you did, I wanted a purebred without any risk of issues that you'd often find from animals at shelters. Adopting is important - but so is buying from respected breeders :) I hope kitten is doing well!

I have a Ragdoll born September 5, 2023. A few tips if I may: (A) Food wise: Royal Canine Mother and baby cat up to 4 months then the Kitten up to 12 months then Ragdoll formula.with the cans. (B) The fur between the paws do not need to be clipped. That fur is like the whiskers they serve as receptors. Please have Bella see a groomer. You are doing an AMAZING job with her. She is very lucky to have you as a momma. I have had many many cats and litters in my life. Best wishes!

Hey! Bella will be two in March so she’s an adult now. I have never feed her on royal canin food because I’ve only ever fed her high quality food. She wouldn’t even touch any of the pouches if you put it in front of her. The dry food is fully of grains I feed natures variety because it’s grain free & high in deboned meat. Bella was on the kitten one & now she’s on the adult one. I always recommend it to customers in my pet shop looking for a high quality food and it’s much cheaper than royal canin too. As for wet food I only feed her the good stuff. At the moment she’s eating raw cat food but some good brands are untamed , blink , Applaws , meowing heads , encore , Canagan & natures variety are just a few I’ve tried. As for the fur between their toes all it does is keep the pads a bit warmer & add a bit of grip. Bella doesn’t need a groomer I do everything at home. I’ve got different combs & brushes so she doesn’t end up any knots. I also trim her nail’s when they get really sharp. I know some people like to have their Ragdolls shaved I’m not really into that. If she needs a bath I can do it myself I gave her one once at the end of summer. I hope all goes well with your kitten 💕

Scratching Posts: Provide suitable outlets for scratching. Grooming: Brush their coat and check teeth regularly. Safe Environment: Remove hazards and secure windows. Affection: Spend time bonding daily. Monitor Health: Watch for changes in behavior or appetite. These basics will help ensure your cat's health and happiness! plus u should clean her eyes when she wakes up btw these tips are for anyone because they are just basic tips sooo XD

Happy pet parenting!❤ I have been rescuing 1 rabbit at a time since Feb 2021, from pet stores, or sometimes from slaughterhouses in my area. As we live in an apartmental flat, we don't have a secure garden for my bunny, also that grass is not clean or enriched. We have lots of stray cats everywhere. Due to our poor conditions, and circumstances, I feed her the least grass from that garden [handful of], I have this in mind to start purchasing commercial timothy hay, pellets for my bunny, once I start earning. Also, in my home-state in India, there are no trustworthy doctors! Love Bella!!❤❤

Teach her not to bite your hands by playing with a toy instead. I got my Persian cat from a pets hop in Manhattan and the breeders did a spectacular job training the cat not to scratch the furniture or bite. My cat is an angel!

She’s over a year old now. She does bite my hands when playing but it’s always gentle never hard. The same with the bunny kicks. Bella is really good with furniture which is good. Probably because she has alot of scratching post she has 3 along with alot of toys. She doesn’t make a mess of the house and you can leave a pile of stuff on the floor without her making a mess of it. She’s really well behaved although she’s rather cheeky ☺️

I’m actually getting a cat soon in a few days and I have no idea what I’m doing aswell so your not alone girly! But I know some tips from other cat owners is the main basics a cat needs is litter toys love and care beds and since ur getting a kitten I recommend a spray bottle for training so the cats learn what’s wrong! Now sometimes they won’t listen but cats HATE water! So they’ll respect u after a while! I hope u and your kitten are happy and healthy 😊

It’s gone so fast ☺️ she’s a really good cat she’s so well behaved. Sometimes she can be a little cheeky as cats are but she knows when she’s doing something she’s not supposed to do. I’ve got her into a little routine now so she knows what time she’s gets fed , what time I get him from work and she’s like my little fluffy shadow. I recommend a metal litter scoop! It won’t be as flimsy and it’ll last longer! I also recommend tiki cat! Either which are very well! Have fun with you cute kitten!

If you’d like some extra things that can make the cat a lot more happy overall, I’d recommend a vertical cat scratcher. Cats like extending their bodies when scratching. I’d also recommend adding shelves and perches on your walls for the cat to be able to run and exercise, if you live in a rented area there are things that use suction cups. You could also get catnip spray to put on any new beds or spots for the cat if they aren’t able to get used to it. I’d recommend checking out some catifying videos and make sure to mix dry food with wet food when she gets older. Videos I’d recommend watching: Easy Catification | Small Apartment Hacks - MelloCat (this one is extremely helpful, honestly) I hope that helped in some way, but do take some things I say with a grain of salt because I’ve never owned a cat. Bella is almost two years old now & she has a scratching post. I’ve tried catnip with Bella including the spray and she doesn’t care for it. Most kittens under 6 months have no effect to it and she’s still the same as an adult. You don’t need to mix wet food and fry food together I’m not sure where you heard that. They are best kept separate and ideally you should just feed wet food if possible because it’s much more nutritious. Bella still gets a tin or pouch of wet food in the morning, biscuits during the day and a pouch at night. Some people will say that’s too much food but it’s really not. Some cats can eat more than others & ragdolls are big breeds that don’t stop growing I till they are 4. I work in a pet shop and occasionally it sounds like people are under feeding their cats and feeding them less than they should. For example kittens eat more than adult cats and some people have only been feeding them just one pouch a day so they haven’t done any research or even bothered to read the box the food comes. I’ve done a lot of research into cats for the last two years ☺️💕

I’ve heard about the mixing foods because while yes cats should stay away from dry food, adding wet food can add that moisture back if you aren’t able to only feed the cat wet food. It’s mostly just a money thing! And I complete,y agree with the underfeeding, unfortunately there are so many cats that don’t get fed well but I am very happy you are taking great care of your kitten! Thank you! This video is from last summer so I know how much litter to use in her box. She does occasionally get poo on herself anyway which is common for Ragdolls. I have to trim the fur around her bum to help that.

Based on everything you've shown in this video you've done your homework and you're doing a good job on selecting foods and toys. I think you are going to be a good cat mom. I Hope it's okay if I make a few suggestions. I had a Maine Coon and a very large Tiffany. Sadly, they're no longer with me. They were very large, as will be your rag doll. They grow to be bigger than your average cat. My first suggestion is as your cat grows you may want to try elevating her dishes. Also, you will find that cats love water fountains and they tend to drink more water if they have a fountain. You may want to consider a stainless steel litter box as her next box. Plastic tends to accumulate smells. If this happens it won't be pleasant for you or kitty. Also, please stay away from scented kitty litters. Cats really do not like using litter that has a fragrance added to it. I learned the hard way with one of my kitties that became asthmatic just how harmful litters can be that have fragrances added to them. That's it because you seem to really have everything your baby needs. At this point all that's left is making sure you give your cat a lot of attention. They love being with their people and they love a lot of attention.

They are allowed catnip however they might not feel the effects until they are around 7 months old. Bella is over a year old now and she doesn’t really care for it. Cats can eat fish. It’s really good for them and most cat foods contain fish. They can’t however only eat fish they need a variety of other meats in their diet. Chicken is actually a lot healthier for them. Some people will say you can’t but in my experience I’ve not had any issues with Bella staying home by herself. I spend my mornings , evenings and weekends with her. I make sure to give her lots of attention when I’m home and she seems happy and content. She’s got a lot of toys and cat post to play with and tbh she spends most of the day sleeping. She knows my routine cats a very smart like that ☺️

i think from the age of 10/11 weeks is the best, most kittens of that age are trained to go to the litter box and most of that age got the important things already done ❤️

I got Bella when she was about 3 - 4 months old. You can adopt them once they are off mums milk & eating solids it’s best to wait once they have been toilet trained too 💕
