You can distract her with a video or game on a tablet/phone, or even with snacks, in that way it keeps her occupied but you have to work fast on the hair. Also gently talk to her everytime before you start her hair, that you want her to look more pretty with her hair, gradually she will understand the need to keep her hair neatly done, its a process but you will get there. Am lucky ever since I started doing my daughters hair when she was 3 years she can sit still for 2-3 hours straight without complaining, she really loves her hair... I trimmed her ends a week ago and she was complaining that I have cut her hair short..... I can see that naturally she is into her hair, she wears her own bonnet each night without me telling her and she keeps it on till morning. She says she wants her 4C hair to be long like Rapunzel, that's her inspiration so we are on it.....
