First time I visited I went to the national museum to let sink in the 16th-17th Dutch history, when strawling through Amsterdam after that I actually walked in the paintings of the museum. Time-machine DOES EXIST . Later I heard Amsterdam has the biggest historical oldtown in Europe....

I use the Hull ferry a lot for short breaks, Amsterdam is painfully crowded in the summer months, no wonder the locals are pissed. Nice video!

Luv this! Pensionado just walking around - while so many others research the museums, the tours, and yes: this neighborhood!! Medieval part of town hence the narrow streets all around the Zeedijk. Cleaned up compared with 30 years ago!! But watch your stuff - seem conscious! But - really not that bad. Like all city centers. Dutch food? People have that at home!! 😂😂 Indonesian is also home food (mostly a Dutch modification of Indonesian). Regular Dutch eat that about weekly, at home.

Go to Ottenthal restaurant in Berlin if you can, amazing Austrian food, great value, service and experience. Lovely little place. Berlin is great. A river tour is cheap and food fun too.

I made it to Amsterdam once about 22 years ago. I arrived in the morning and couldn’t find affordable lodgings the hotels were overpriced and all the hostels were booked so I took the night train to Berlin where compared to Amsterdam I found affordable accommodation.

My suggestion would be Germany, Austria, Hingry, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Boat Tel Aviv, Fly to Dubai, Fly to Ahmedabad, Fly to Don Muang Bangkoklast 3 flights are all low cost carriers Fly Dubai, Air Ingigo, Air Asia

Great price for a room (cabin), I will stay there next time on my way to the Caribbean! Usually it is very expensive to stay in Amsterdam. Last time I paid £120 + 12% tourist tax for a small hotel room in the suburbs! (Can´t find the link in the description)

Mate, right at 15:30 your attention gets drawn by that cheese shop which is actually completely fake. Those big wheels of cheese arent even real and I can assure you that nobody local will ever step foot in there. While on the other side on the corner you have a place called FEBO which is actually completely authentic Dutch. The name refers to a street in Amsterdam, the Ferdindand Bolstraat (Fe-Bo) in the Pijp neighborhood, where one of the branches is located. Its famous for the typical hot snacks vending machine. Even Anthony Bourdain tried it in one of his shows. So yeah, you said you wanted something local, well, thats as local as it gets. They have weird Dutch stuff like a frikandel, a deep fried sausage or a kroket (croquette) with different kinds of fillings. Or battered deep fried noodles (bami). Or een patatje oorlog, which are chips with half mayonaise, half peanut sauce topped with bits of raw onion. While this all might not sound very good at first, after your 6th pint this really is the place you want to be, believe me, speaking from experience :D
