Jain believes in unmanifested unpersonified pure consciousness and those who realizes that are Tirthankar. Hence we honor them as they show the way.

Okk. I have no reason to go through that. I have heard of it. There is enough non-tamil literature for me to read if I want. But I much rather prefer talking to people and understanding from those who have some idea. Moreover, for any topic in spirituality there will be 20 books one can read. I doubt what value it will add my life. I am not trying get a PhD degree. Plus, I am talking a lot on basis of practical reality for the typical jain sadhaka. Whatever may be written in the books, that is a separate study.

I am also well aware of the southern footprint of Jainism. It's sad that nowadays even Jain youth living in south India are often not aware of it.
