My FIRST Drift Competition in my Mustang GT | Practice PT.2 | Some of my BEST driving so far!!!!!

I got a lot of seat time during practice. I had to learn what techniques worked best for me to drive the course properly with the way my car is setup (mostly stock). Each run was a blast, and everyone at the venue, drivers and staff included, seemed to be having a great time. Mbdrift series/venue is a very welcoming place.
As far as my driving techniques goes, my car is very very snappy. It feels on edge at all times. Using the ebrake on the course was a little frowned upon. So, I tried different driving techniques but unfortunately with the way my car is setup I couldn’t get it to settle after fast transitions. I watched the other S550 mustang drivers use the same techniques I did to help their cars set at angle. So, I found that after a quick transition or right before the transition, if I do a really quick ebrake pull (quick enough to help the car pivot without it washing wide and without killing my momentum) the car settles and sets at my desired angle/line. Tiny little adjustments like that makes a huge difference in my driving.

Solid brother you were doing great that day. Definitely get the power stall figured out on the left foot breaking because that's what your lacking to keep/ maintain angle on the bigger sweeps. Entries unless going really fast should be monji or clutch and the middle hair pin where I saw you e-brake hard was a spot the judges didn't want to see the lead car do along with hand breaking the entry

Thanks bro, btw u looking like a professional out there. Thanks for the advice🔥🔥🔥I talked to another Mustang drifter and found out which fuse to pull so i can drive the car without it shutting down. I was mostly doing clutch kick entries especially since i enter slow. Gotcha I’ll definitely work on the mid-section next time, how do u suggest I could get my car to slow down just enough through there?? My car carries a lot of momentum when I go through there, I would use angle to slow it down but can’t do that till I get some upgrades. Maybe left foot brake?

@@tagallstar left foot break and throttle commitment if you stay mid range or flutter the throttle essentially you're adding grip to the car. Front breaking will slow the front and allow the rear to catch up. Just maintain small pressure on the break and let the throttle eat through that sweep
