this sound of rear subframe knock when doing a clutchkick is hillarious

Remove the rear sway bar. Someone told me to do that after my first couple events and I immediately started linking the track. It stops the random snap spin-out. Also make sure your front doesn't rub AT ALL during full lock cause that will slow you down and make you spin too

I love the positive attitude you have regarding everything. You have to keep that vibe if you wanna continue drifting. Continue seat time and everything will come naturally. You will know what mod to put next as you become better since you will start feeling your car and know what you need to put in next. But one trick is to try and use as less as possible your e-brake and clutch kicks at the beginning. Try and make one with the car and use speed and weight transfer (i know its hard not to clutch kick since you have that low power, i also drift a Bmw). Just know the car and the physics before you use all those e-brakes and angle kits and power mods. It's not about mods and speed, it's about driving! Keep it up ;)

One thing I remember reading is that the oil pump nut likes to back off the oil pump. The m52/54/56 engine platform, I don’t remember which engine but this high rpm revs that drifting does causes the nut to back off. If you see a red oil light that means low oil pressure and to shut it down.
@coreystrandberg90873 жыл бұрын
And make sure to not do the safety wire without doing a tensioner on the chain as you’ll just break your oil pump shaft. The oil pump nut comes off because the slack in the chain causes an impacting effect, but safety wiring it just tosses the problem down the road to the oil pump shaft.

Just a tip, for your traction control to be properly off press it and press and hold again for like 10 secs to have traction controle fully off. Also, clutchkicking in the rain is overpowering. Try to steer corners instead of fully steering with throttle, you dont get enough angle for the amount of speed you want to carry thrue your drift

You talking about exhaust being stock is the problem, we have a saying in Poland. If you can't drift, then it's probably steering wheel to pedals connector which is broken :D But yea, not easy to feel that e46 wagon, I had e36 compact and it's much easier on transition than e46. One thing that changes a lot is good seat position, it's like night and day when drifting, second making sure tires are at right psi, 40-50 is like for 316i in rain, I was even going as low as 25psi, so I can have a little of that grip to prevent spinouts. Anyway keep up the good work :)

Bro due to the reason it gives codes for both crank and cam sensor, it would suggest there is something wrong with the timing or the timing chain of the engine. How many miles/km does your engine have? It is common to see timing chain getting start to get stretched around 350 000-400 000+km on m5x engines. Or maybe the chain tensioner or chain guide has wear. But this is just my worst case scenario diagnosis. I had to replace a crank sensor on my winter beater m52, but after taking the old one out i realised it was just covered in oily grime and dirt. Just giving it a good clean would have saved some money :D Maybe check that first?
