foreignluna It was great, It went better than I expected , the director was really nice but I didn't book the role cause I'm 13 and she wanted 11ish old kids (even though before that she said she wanted 11,12,13ish old kids) I had my 2nd audition recently after that but it wasn't for a role, it was baisically taking pictures of us so some production company has us in their archive and they'll call us if they find a role for us. They also asked us to act emotions, happy, sad, and scared. Do you have any auditions coming up?

Soo, I am going to tell you a little story about my first ever important audition. Now before this, i did in fact audition for my drama class at school, but i am talking professional. So my first audition was for an agent. Now we got there, and explained everything. Actually come to think of it, this agency was not an agency, they find you agents to audition for, anyways after waiting in a long long long line, i mean 100 people in front of me which was odd because it is such a small town, it was my turn. I think this was a 6 sentence script I had to say and memorize. Anyways 2 sentences in I forget my line and start crying. They wanted me to finish the script. Some how I managed to remember it, and I finished the script. The next day get a call back! I was happy I got to leave school and everything. So we signed, oh and not to mention at the first audition only 5 made it out of over a 100, but yeah. So this wasn't a call back, it was for signing because they wanted me for sure.Only 2 made it out of the 5 and I was onre of the 2. So me and this girl came from our town to Phoenix. She was a teenager and beautiful, I remember her. Her name was Mckayla, she was a very talented singer. Anyways about 3 weeks we got to Phoenix and me her, and about 40 others had to audition to get an agency. Now only 5 was going to make it. I totally felt like I nailed it and I did, i know that because I made it. Now I am signed up going to auditions and all of that. The phoenix audition was amazing because i met so many amazing people. That was my whole first experience. And now I am signed up with an agency and it was an amazing expierence. Comment your audition because I love hearing these stories

My first audition was in 3rd grade. Our school had this musical every year that took place in the "Wild West" in a small Texas town. It was about this kid who tried to cover the town in bubblegum (his name was bill or Pete or something like that), and I didn't get the part I auditioned for (unfortunately). I got to stand on risers and sing, and we got McDonalds right afterwards.

I'm interested in acting, my only problem is that I'm shy. So I can't really get any roles if I'm too shy to actually audition. I know that when you audition eye contact is one of the most important things but whenever I make eye contact I freeze up, get intimidated and basically forget everything. Next year I'm planning on joining an acting class, my sister has asked her acting instructor there if that class was good for becoming more confident and less shy and he said it was a great way. Hi! I have done EVERYTHING to convince my mom to let me go to auditions and be represented by an agency. I have done ALL the research. I've looked at head shots, found a talent agency to audition for etc. But my mom says that I can't do it, as she says I am not good enough. But everyone, my friends, my drama teacher, they all say that I am great at acting & singing (I also take voice lessons!). I don't know what to do. I've tried to forget about ti, and I thought I had, but I can't! I've asked my mom, but she got REALLY MAD and yelled at me to stop pestering her about it and said if I did it again, she would punish me by taking my phone off me etc. This happened around a month ago, so my mom thinks everything is fine and I've forgotten about it, but I haven't. Do you have any tips to SUBTLY hint to her that I can act and I have the talent & determination? I have also auditioned for my annual school play, and if I get the lead, it MIGHT be enough for my mom to get a clue. But still, any tips?

Haley no and yes... the reason it’s both is because there are going to be a million reasons ( which you will never know about) that you don’t book a job. Too tall, too short, too much acne, not enough acne, too skinny, too fat, not fat enough, not skinny enough, your name reminds them of they’re childhood bully, you look like someone they used to be frenemies with, they cast their friend. Etc etc etc.. just be who you are and the right role will find its way to you! :)
