I'm a Japanese AG fan. I've been watching a lot of their live videos, but today I found yours. It's so fun to be able to watch videos of people who went to AG's concerts. Because you have found someone who shares the same feelings. They don't care if the audience doesn't understand the language. They said that it would be enough if people who saw their stage performance found it interesting, fun, and felt energized. May the happy feeling of that night come back to you again and again 😊 Thank you for sharing your happiness✨

I went to an Atarashii Gakko! concert by myself also. None of the people I know are into the same music I am. Once the music started it didn't matter if you were alone, you speak the truth.

I got social anxiety too, bro. I've had 55 years to find the coping mechanisms and proper prescription levels, so I'm making it. I'm proud of you for taking that leap. That's a huge step! Don't let your self-critic tell you otherwise!

@@what_dre_doin9 That's awfully kind of you, man. I tell you what, number one thing is that it'll be different for different people and different for different events and different for different seasons of your life. So you collect a whole arsenal of coping mechanisms to have at your disposal. And if one doesn't work in the moment, toss it back on the shelf and grab the next. For me personally? Let's see...well, my biggest one is that my best friend was an extrovert. So he'd come get me and drag me to stuff that I'd never get up the courage to go to on my own. I don't know if you ever watched "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," but he was Ferris to my Cameron. Second, it was almost never the event itself that set off my panic. It was always the buildup to it. The anticipation of disaster. The "but what if...?" thoughts. When that happens, I try to stop and consciously think of a previous time that was a success. Like, family reunions are a big source of strain. I love my family, but we have really different life experiences and interests, so sometimes it's hard to find topics of conversation. When I start to panic about the next one, I stop and think, "Remember that time I made my sister almost pee her pants because she was laughing so hard at my jokes?" And then just replay that one conversation in detail in my memory, to replace what my anxiety was telling me could happen. The last thing that comes to mind is telling my friends I have this disability. I usually have to make it clear that it's not anything they're doing wrong, and not anything they necessarily can fix. It's just...you know, a thing that happens. Most of the time, they're pretty chill with it. And what I find happens in my own head is that I am now relieved of the fear of disappointing them. If I have to leave a party early, they'll understand. And that knowledge alone often takes away my need to leave the party early. Again, I want to reiterate that YOU ARE DOING IT! In this one video, you (a) acknowledged your social anxiety, (b) planned and executed a concert attendance mission successfully, and (c) posted about it online. And you're already paying it forward by encouraging others to follow suit. That really impressed me. Also, chase your dream about performing on stage! I have been an actor, a juggler a pastor, a college teacher, all with social anxiety. I love being in front of an audience, and I bet you would too!
